Lo Scalo Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Riomaggiore

Worst service. After a very pleasant sunset me and my husband visited this restaurant for a drink. We ordered our drinks and when it was delivered it had an insect inside it. I told the waitress about the insect in the drink she told the bar tender. His response was 'its completely normal, there are so many insects'. I told him 'but you can not serve a drink with an insect inside it'. He then shaked his head in uttermost disappointment and rudely grabbed the drink from counter. Because of this incident they didn't even served us the snacks with drinks which they were serving to other customers. If you are in customer facing business you have to be polite even if there is single or several customers. The service...

Rude employees. My husband and I walked in, I say hi, the guy hands us menus without saying anything looking annoyed because I spoke in English. I asked if we can sit anywhere, they said yes. We were picking where to sit and the employees were talking shit about us in Italian/spanish. I answered them (I’m fluent in Spanish and my Italian is so so) to let them know i understood everything they were saying and then the guy seemed embarrassed. Left after just drinking a water! Incredible spot right in the heart of the Riomaggiore shoreline. It’s off to the side of the main walking path, but has awesome views of the buildings and coast. Not a lot of seating but we found a spot late at night. The bartender was so fun - great energy and singing Adele for everyone.

We ordered limoncello spritzes and bruschetta and it was all delicious. Definitely recommend if you can find a spot! The bathroom was out of order at the time of this review, but not...
