Simply GREAT in the back of one of the many squares in the heart of Rome, you find a cheap but cheerful place for some great pizza. It's very basic with a few tables outside.. Behind the counter there is a cheerful Signora, who only speaks Italian, but who cares... Using hands and smiles, you'll get together.. They have a decent drinks selection and nice craft beers, but of course, the best thing is...the PIZZE!!! It's small ones, so if you are hungry, you can order 2 or three.. This gives you the chance to grind thru the whole menu if you are a party of three or more, you can enjoy various flavors are carry on ordering until you are full. but not stuffed. Though the Pizze are prebaked, they taste like freshly made, and take only three to four minutes to be ready. The dough is light and crispy, and the tomato sauce tastes really like tomato sauce and not like ketchup or some red nothing. For 5 (small) Pizze and 2 beers the two of us paid less than a total of 30 € in June 2022..so very reasonable pricing , and our tummies did but suffer from an overload . With regards to the service.. I.interpreted it more like a kind of self service than a full service restaurant, so I went in to order the next round of Pizze, which were brought to our table quite quickly. Guess it's a matter of expectations how you rate the service. For me, especially at this price, the overall experience is 5...
Read moreOne of the ladies working there is extremely rude!!! If you pay attention to customer service and don't want to ruin your day, please avoid this place by any means. Even though we were extremely kind and repeated what we wanted using very simple English, she misunderstood or probably acted as if she didn't understand in order to charge us an extra item, when we corrected her again after she brought the order she started to speak in a very rude way in front of everyone. She didn't even apologize. And let's say that for real she didn't understand I think it's not the end of the world to return it back ultimately it's her mistake not ours, why did she act so dramatic and so disrespectful I still don't get it. You get a zero star from my side better to learn some manners and how to behave with your customers and be human first before learning how not to...
Read moreWe spent 2 weeks in Rome, and searched all over for our favorite pizza. Of course, there are many types of pizza to be eaten here, but the pizza at Amerina was easily the best we found. We’ve been back a few times and plan to go back again before we leave town. Paolo and the rest of the staff were inviting and kind as can be. Try any of the pizzas, you can’t go wrong, and since they are small you can try out many tastes. Plus, a fun wine and beer selection. And the setting is a nice quiet spot on a dead end alley off a busy street, which is a nice reprieve. Don’t...
