This is obviously a touristy place, but not exclusively, and it makes absolutely the best gluten-free pizza. With a bit of buckwheat flour in the mix, the resulting taste is more earthy and savory, and not as sweet and generic as many typical gluten-free options. I’d even prefer it over a gluten one if I could still have any. Otherwise, the topping ingredients were quality, the spritzes were generous, and the wine selection was good. With all the restaurant options in Rome, I did manage to drag my long-suffering husband here on repeat during our stay. He found his gluten-filled dishes enjoyable, he had to admit. The service was friendly, and the owner was very hospitable. As a celiac, I felt they took it seriously to avoid cross contamination and developed their own gf flour mixes with quality and taste in mind. Just as in any other place that serves both gluten and gluten-free options, you have to be careful when ordering in a mixed party, and it’s better to confirm if the dish was made gluten-free, just to avoid any human error during the order placement. There was a bit of mix up in our order on one of the evenings, and the staff responded so promptly and with earnest horror at the prospect of feeding gluten to a celiac. I was impressed. Now, I need to devise a way how I can fly back to Rome from NYC to get...
Read moreI was looking for a restaurant with nice gluten-free options and I remembered I had read good reviews about it so decided to check it out! I had gluten-free spaghetti with sea bass, and zucchini and a nice glass of white wine. When I had the first bite I realized that there was no salt at all (since they have 2 separate kitchens as they are gluten-free certified, it seems the Chef had completely forgotten to put salt in the pasta boiler of the gluten-free kitchen. They had also forgotten to put the lemon zest on top as it showed on the menu…BUT…they handled it so graciously and that’s why I’m giving it a 5 * rating. They offered to remake the dish from scratch, when I said no need, they brought me the salt, pepper and olive oil (excellent by the way) as I had requested and the lemon zest so the dish became actually really delicious as it was meant to be. Then to make up for the mishap, they offered me a dessert on the house and recommended their specialty, the Sanpietrino (a sort of brownie) with a delicious custard cream and maracuja jam next to it . It was SO delicious that I told one of the owners I was glad the Chef had forgotten the salt 😂 The staff was also very friendly and helpful! Next time I’m trying their gluten-free bread as apparently they...

They messed up our order (wanted carbonara and bolognese, we got 2 bolognese versions), they then tried to convince us to have that instead of the orignal order.
Fine, no worries, problem is that the pasta was the blandest thing on the planet. Neither of our dishes had any sort of seasoning.
The other bolognese was literally bland tomato sauce, pasta and a few bits of some unknown meat.
My bolognese was similar, except it had a lot of mystery minced meat (seemed like spam mashed with a fork), bland tomato sauce and pasta.
We were even debating if we should add oregano/basil/salt/pepper to the dish, before it arrived (saw some condiment shakers and were wondering whats inside or if we need them), figured it would be the ultimate insult to spice our foods since “that’s the chef’s trademark dish”.
I must be able to foresee the future, because that was the worst pasta I ever had in my entire life.
I ate it because I was hungry, tho, and we did pepper and salt the dishes to give them some taste at least.
Anyway, they were both very overpriced (1 coke 4 eur - my bolognese 14, other bolognese variation 11 eur) and really bad.
Don’t waste your apetite and money...
