Bar Aphrodite — Restaurant in Rome

Avoid, avoid, avoid! God forbid you decide to come here if you're not a regular customer. The service is appalling. They stare you down and pretend to be very busy doing something instead of getting your order. Have been living nearby for nine months and have only come here a handful of times because of the poor service. Sadly the only polite person in the establishment is the cashier. As an added bonus I am reminded of this horrible place every morning at 6 AM (!), when they open the umbrellas outside the cafe, which is accompanied by an earth-shattering metal shriek. AVOID this place at all costs. Terrible experience. The service is absolutely awful — the staff are rude, unprofessional, and act like they’re doing you a favor just by taking your order. No basic courtesy, no smile, no sense of hospitality whatsoever. To make things worse, the tables were dirty and sticky, clearly not cleaned between customers.
