Caffè Ripetta — Restaurant in Rome

Rip off, beware. They show one price when you choose what to eat at the counter and then just tell you can sit down and they will bring you everything. But when you go to pay the price is 50% more. As an italian, I am sad to see that these kind of businesses give Italy a bad reputation, so please avoid and do not support. I know it is a touristic area, but I also know the prices around. We paid a ridiculous price for a small, dry, not good piece of cake and two caffè - 18 Euro.

1-5 is too much for this awful rude place! If you're not Italian expect awful rude service. We ordered two hot chocolates and two canolo's, they brought out the hot chocolates first and 20 mins later STILL no canolo's we went to pay as we thought they didn't hear us or forgot us- then they finally saw us and told us to sit down and brought them over. They were absolutely disgusting! I couldn't eat mine- it was like frozen ice cream. This awful experience cost 20 euros- for terrible service, food and cafe! DO NOT GO...

Stopped by for a quick coffee and tiramisu. Tried to order inside to point out which pastries we wanted from the display, but were told to sit outside. After sitting down at a dirty table, it took a while to get someone to take our order. They didn't understand what pastry we wanted, so we just got tiramisu, which was totally old and crusted over. The coffee drinks were good though! After waiting another 15 minutes, we went back inside to pay, and were then charged a fee for table service. Would...
