Caffetteria Italia al Vittoriano — Restaurant in Rome

The food looked and seemed nice (I only had a cheesecake). However I've given it a one star as I requested a refund on a wrong item. I asked for a pizza at the till and the man said tell them which one you want. I gave my receipt to the lady who was prompt and told her colleague who later I assume was the manager later on to get a pizza. Without asking me which one she took one random pizza from counter. It was quick when it came out however when I said that's not the one I wanted the girl said 'crostino' put her hands up in the air to gesture she's right I am wrong. I walked away to eat my cheesecake. Later on a man approached me and asked me what pizza did I want and I just said I just want to refund and he asked me to repeat it later. What pizza did I want? And I just said to him I want a refund. When I went to the till area to request a refund it became apparent that they were reluctant to give a refund out and just before I was walking away it should give me it in cash and her excuse was that her tills will be down on cash but I just wanted it back on my card. The attitude of the servers was very poor, ignorant and lacking customer satisfaction. When I was given the refund by the lady she had a Stern look on her face and no apology it was given which made me feel as a customer a very awkward. So I am basing this review on the poor customer service As I was not happy with with the service. I would suggest that they need to review how they order because it seemed quite chaotic and the fact I wasn't asked about allergies also raises alarm bells too as if I was a vegetarian they could just give a meat option. Need to improve their customer...

This was the worst 25 Euro we spent. We ordered a coffee shake and literally shaken black coffee gets brought to our table with undisolved sugar at the bottom. We order a tramazini and we get a sandwich. It was white bread with the crust cut off. The bread wasn't even toasted.

We wait 25 min for our pizza after receiving everything else. We walk to the counter and ask our waiter if we should order and collect at our table or at the counter and he said at the table but he is not bringing us our food and other people are going to the counter to get their food.

After a few more minutes of waiting we decide to go pay for what we received and leave. After explaining why we are not taking or paying for the pizza, our waiter laughs at us and says nothing and another staff member gives us an "apology".

This place knows that they will make money because they are situated on a monument with lots of tourists so they feel like they do not have to put any effort into their service or products because they will...

Shocking experience. And even worse drinks. Came up to what can only be described as stunning views. Then sat on the terrace and went inside to order drinks. Went to take them outside only for 2 extremely rude waiters bark at me that we had to sit inside. Questioned this to be told its more expensive for table service and that's what you have to do to sit on the outside. Oddly enough, it wasn't cheaper if we sat and ordered table service inside. On top of that, they definitely do not know how to make a good cocktail. Mine tasted like washing up liquid. It is a shame as if this was our first impression. I'd think Italians are rude people. Thankfully for Italians, we have spent most of our honeymoon meeting wonderfully respectful and caring people. Shame about the idiots but you get them everywhere I guess.
