I would really love to give a review of the food at this restaurant but I am only able to review their business practice. My wife and I had reservations for New Years Eve. They did not specify that there was a set menu for the evening, which is what many restaurants do for this particular holiday. When we arrived, they were obviously short-staffed and quite busy. There were two other couples ahead of us and one other couple that shortly arrived after. All of us had reservations. We were informed of the set menu at £125/person. Both couples ahead and behind indicated they were specifically told they could order off the normal menu when making the reservations. However, the staff informed everyone that it was not possible. All eight of us left at the same time without them making any effort to make it right. Needless to say we will never return, regardless of how the food may or may not be. We went down the street to a locally owned and operated restaurant who was more than gracious and we had one of the best...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is very good and homemade. We returned 3 nights of our stay and ordered a lot of different dishes. The pasta is homemade, the tiramisu is one of the best I’ve ever had, and the presentation was phenomenal. I really want to mention the staff. Sam and Asher are sweet respectful, and made sure we were comfortable and having a wonderful evening. I have a 4 year old daughter and they were so amazing to her. She danced to the music, they made her special pasta, and never made us feel out of place for having my sweet girl in a higher end restaurant. They were so family friendly. They put these beautiful extra touches into the service and you can tell the management really cares about your experience. From their drinking glasses to the chocolates at the end, I can’t wait to return...
Read moreThe restaurant is a nice place. Our waiter was super kind. But the food can't make me recommend this place. They brought us a smoked mini doughnut before the appetizer. That one was good, altough a bit weird to have something so sweet before dinner. Our appetizer was the artichoke, and frankly, it tasted really bland. But the pastas... those were not good. I got the carbonara, and I'm normally a big fan of those. They were much too salty, the sauce felt heavy and the bacon (panceta?) was sometimes so hard I feared I'd break a tooth. Then there were the almatreciana that my girlfriend ordered. The sauce was insanely bad. We couldn't get a hint of the taste of tomato (I tasted them too of course). Our apetite was lost at this point so we didn't order dessert. In short: Don't go there for the taste...
