This one star is only for banana "bread" it was tasty. Today just walked me and my friend in this area...we decided to drink coffee and just ordered one capucino and americano. At the beginning cashier suggested us menu for lunch, which one absolutely wasn't in our agenda. So we told her we already knew what we wanted and ordered immediately without menu and sat near door free table...I don't know why she didn't liked it and with her colleague started talking about us and she also didn't realised we speaks also Italian ( because we spoke georgian and it was difficult for her. we ordered I don't remember english or Italian) it was rude she talked about us 😳 so later coffee cups, spoons, plates were absolutely dirty absolutely! Because I had from my work only 30 minutes and hadn't time to changed place we were forced to drink this coffee from "pink black" coffee cups🙌 after all my friend put her chewing gum on the plate because they gave us one napkin which one was for me because I ordered cake 🤷‍♀️ at the end while we decided to pay waitress said my friend : when you put your chewing gum on the plate it's not correct look you have to put on the napkin 😂😂😂 ok when you prepare coffee for your costumers please clean your cups and training your staff be more polite and positive 😊 and hwo knows what kind of day had my friend which one never forgot that kind of details and yes today she forgot 😀 come oooonnnn daaaiiii suuuuu🤦‍♀️wish you improve your attitude with your...

I really wanted to like this place, but my first attempt was quite disappointing.

At lunchtime (around 1:45pm), the selection was limited, which is okay, but the staff was also very vague in explaining what was available. I hardly understood anything, so I opted for the first stuff I saw on the counter: focaccia with onions and croissant with almond paste.

The focaccia dough was quite good, but there were very few onions, it was too cooked and very dry. Almost no onion flavor. I appreciate well-baked stuff, but the top was mostly burnt and too dry.

The croissant was okay, though with this much almonds (both flaked and in the filling paste) I expected a richer, more indulgent flavor. Instead, it was just a simple almond croissant, nothing remarkable.

When it was time to pay (not a light bill, but fair for the concept of the place and the many preparations required to produce these items) the staff were laughing and joking among themselves. I'm fine with a casual approach, but not to the point of being almost ignored :)

I hope to return and change my mind. For now, I...

I went here today with my baby for breakfast. The coffee and pastry were amazing. About twice the price of almost any other cafe in the area but about twice the quality. I seek out good coffee and this was really specialty coffee - smooth, sweet and a touch acidic. The pastry I had was chocolate and caramel and was really really tasty. A bit expensive at €5 but a nice treat. The atmosphere was really nice and the decoration is beautiful and the person who seated us was a bit curt (as I find people are in these kinds of places when they’re very busy and making a priority to get people served) but pleasant and really got friendly once he started to talk to my baby. After that, the service was great. I will go back. I take away a star for the atmosphere because it was a bit chaotic and took about little while to acknowledge me. However, I understand that it’s because the staff are busy because I went at a busy time.

I also had a very pleasant time reading some of your responses to the 1 star reviews before I left mine....

What a hidden jem! Just happened to come across this bakery when I looked for something in the area and it was perfect! Very small menu with some very creative items and I would have loved to try everything! Everything looks absolutely delicious. Not even kidding. BUY THE CROISSANT LOAF!! We asked for one slice and it turned out to be quite a big thick slice. After eating into it I would have totally love the entire loaf! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and it had a sweet filling on the inside too. I have no idea what it was but it is so so so good! Now I want more. Baguette was fresh and warm and really nice for sandwiches. Croissant was also flaky and actually neutral flavor say neutral flavor (compared to the sweet croissants available in most bakeries in Rome). Peaches & Cream Pastry was so unique! Had fresh beaches and an actual cream filling inside with some sugar crystals around the edges. Really quite nice!
