Had the best meal at IGIO in all of our trip to Rome. The staff was attentive and friendly. They were able to accommodate us for dinner when I stopped by a little before lunch (that same day) even though they were already quite booked for the rest of the day. The quality of the food was amazing. I had the Bulgoghi In Pietra, its the serving for one person of beef meat marinated in soy sauce with glass noodles and mushrooms. Omg 100% recommend ! (Especially with a bowl of rice on the side). The hubby had the Kimsambok which is stir fried pork and kimchi w/ garlic, also with a side of rice and I quote “that was the best tasting meat I’ve had in a long time.” Seriously, this place is a 100/10. (Oh and the Yace rolls are also a 10/10!)
Although they were kind enough to accommodate us in their tight schedule, I would really recommend you call and make a reservation ahead of time. They do get quite...
Read moreWonderful Korean restaurant in Trastevere area, with great atmosphere and even better food. While serving a wide variety of Korean cuisine, as typical of Korean food, there are also many vegetarian options. As a matter of fact, I ended up re-visiting a few times to try different dishes, myself :)
All is good, but if this is your first time, I'd personally recommend: Korean Fried Chicken - It was fried just perfect.. Korean pork short ribs stew with kimchi - Hefty portion, accompany with some rice to warm you up Pork belly BBQ grilled at table - You can never go wrong with some korean bbq With all dishes, accompany it with some Soju to get that kick. Mix it with some Beer if you're feeling extra spicy. Oh and please try some ice cream for dessert..
The staff are welcoming and friendly. Some of them also speak Korean, English. Would recommend you make...
Read moreI asked for soy sauce with my kimbap. It’s a personal preference, as I am recovering from long-COVID and my taste has not yet fully recovered, I like extra salt on almost everything I eat. I ordered online delivery and on my kimbap container is a note “kimbap: no soy sauce needed for this! Please help us maintain tradition” !?? I understand it may be frowned upon (which I asked my full Korean mother about and she said it’s completely fine to eat it with soy sauce) but a restaurant that doesn’t even allow their customers to eat the food the way they want? It was obnoxious. Ridiculous. If the food wasn’t good I would never go back again. ALSO they judge you if you order what they may consider too much food. I asked for 2 entrees and they basically said no. Pretty much shamed me, made me extremely self conscious for the entirety of my...
