Americans here! 👋 First time in Italy, just doing Rome this trip. We were told the food in Italy was outstanding, but we struggled to find something different but authentic Italian. We stumbled across this place, and it is AMAZING! It was so good the first night, we craved it and went back 2 days later. The owner waited on our table, he is a very kind gentlemen and pleasant to talk to! He really knows his food and wine! He is passionate about his restaurant which shows in the top quality service, well-kept establishment, and the quality of the food!! Im not one to leave reviews, but I am telling you that you have to eat here! The poached egg appetizer is to die for and the filet mignon was arguably one of the best Ive ever had! A carnivore’s delight. The sight greeting us upon our arrival was two huge beef rib roasts in a display fridge. That set the scene for us. There was a menu with quite a wide choice but we were taken by the beef. Minimum size cut is 1.0kg which can be shared on the table. It was tasty, beautifully cooked, and elegantly served. There were sides of vegetables or salad. I never knew that something like this was available in Italy. Service was efficient and attentive. Serving staff made a valiant effort in English to cope with the fact that we spoke almost no Italian. We had no misunderstandings. It is obviously popular with locals but we didn’t hear anything spoken other that Italian at the other tables. ...

Went to this place looking for a delicious steak and got it. In terms of flavor this place really knows what they are doing. That being said the paper table clothes and high pricing for the portions make this not a good value place. Hence it gets three starts as my number one factor to determining a restaurants rating is the ratio between taste (relative the local city) and price. Unfortunately this place fell very short in the value category. Perhaps it was the 1KG of Danish steak we ordered which had more non lean or edible parts than meat.
