Wow! There was a group of six of us traveling to celebrate my nephew and nieces anniversary. We spent our first few days in Rome, which rolled over opening weekend of college football. We were looking around for a place to watch the University of Georgia play Marshall. We found this location and stopped by in the afternoon to check things out. The day staff advised us to call or come back after 6 PM. The owner will be here. Giovanni took great care of us. He, even allowed us to bring some outside food in to the bar. He was a great host and absolutely possess fantastic customer service. The place is an absolute gem. Not sure if it was a coincidence or Giovanni arranged it, but a ex-University of Georgia football player even stopped by to watch the game with us. Thank you! I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to go by and have a great day of watching American football at its finest in Rome Italy. Thank...

My partner and I went for a drink on a Sunday night, and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The bar wasn’t busy, yet it took an unusually long time just to get a beer. I had to personally ask the owner why it was taking so long, and he finally brought one over without so much as an apology. The beer was spilled on us, and the staff didn’t even bother to apologize—they just walked away with an attitude.
My partner ordered a spritz, which turned out to be a total letdown. It was overly sweet and barely tasted of alcohol. We called to let them know and asked to return it, but they insisted on charging us, claiming it wasn’t their fault. After some back-and-forth, they finally agreed not to charge us for the drink.
Overall, the service was incredibly slow and unfriendly. The staff was rude and showed no interest in making things right. They don’t even deserve a...
Read moreLa Botticella aka Giovanni’s aka “The Stealers Bar” has been a “go to” meeting place for airline crews on Rome layovers for years. I was introduced 6 years ago and it’s a stop on every layover. Giovanni and his sister are always welcoming. They provide a great comfortable spot to get a beverage of choice- great beers and more, meet friends, old and new, catch the latest sporting event on a big TV in AC! Or even charge your phone! Giovanni will recommend restaurants as well. A fantastic spot! Gracie milli Giovanni arrivederci This week I brought a retiring Captain and his family to La Botticella and Giovanni and his sister made space outside for us, served great beer and Aperol spritzes then escorted us to his friends restaurant- Terverna Agape where we had a great dinner. Service way over the top! Bravo! Sorry no pics of me or the bar this time. Wanted to highlight how friendly he was to a family he had never...
