The first thing I will mention is that there are no elevators in the building and it’s 4 flights of stairs so if that’s a showstopper for you then this isn’t the place for you.||However, if stairs are not a big deal, then this place could not be more perfect! It was the best value we found for this area. It’s a few steps away from Piazza Navona and centrally located so it’s a quick walk to Castel Sant Angelo, St Peter’s, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. The Colosseum and Vatican Museum are also within walking distance and although it’s a bit of a walk, there’s so much to see along the way that it’s worth it anyway.||They offer transfer services to and from the airport which is super convenient. The room itself was very spacious (we stayed in the Michaelangelo room). There is a private bathroom with toiletries, towels and a hair dryer. The hot water in the shower was a little tricky to control but once it’s set, the water pressure isn’t bad considering how old the building is.||They cleaned the room everyday and gave us free bottles water, juice, wafer packages, tea and coffee. There’s a small fridge, kettle and espresso machine in the room. It was a little chilly and rainy when we were there but the heater in the room was nice and warm. The bed was comfy and I really loved the super high ceilings. ||They provided us with a key to the room and the building which is fine for us because we went everywhere together. There’s someone at the reception for a few hours a day (while they’re cleaning the 5 rooms in the hotel) but that’s it. That was fine for us and they were easily reachable through WhatsApp. The internet was super fast and there’s also a small safe in the room to store your valuables if you don’t want to carry it around with you.||The street is super busy with restaurants and bars but we barely heard anything while in our room. There’s a pharmacy next door that does antigen testing, and if you need a PCR test to go back home, there is a place called Data Medica just 15 minutes away that provided results within 6 hours. There’s a grocery store 5 minutes away, and tonnes of places to eat (just make sure to do research as some of them aren’t very good).||I would definitely stay here again! Big thank you to the staff who made this...
Read more[Location: 5] As they say, location is everything. This is certainly true for Navona Tower. Situated just 30 metres from Piazza Navona, you are in the heart of Rome and within walking distance of all the major attractions.
[Location: 1] However, location is also the biggest drawback of Navona Tower. Piazza Navona and the surrounding streets are filled with restaurants and bars, and the evening/night is buzzing with people. Combined with the apartment’s poor external soundproofing, you may have a negative experience like we did. Bars close at 1–2 am, garbage trucks arrive at 4 am, and restaurants restock between 6–7 am. The window for a good night’s sleep is very short. In other words: you either fully immerse yourself in the nightlife and sleep like a baby on the fumes of alcohol, or you prepare and use earplugs.
[Accommodation: 3] The apartment could use a little care and attention but was adequate for our needs. It had sleeping arrangements for four (we were three), but there was only one glass and two teacups in the small kitchen area. Oddly, the king-sized bed was a bit short.
[Service: 4] The reception staff were very customer-focused and welcoming. They cleaned the apartment every day, which was appreciated, and even washed our dishes, which I wasn’t expecting. I would have rated service a 5 if they had proactively ensured we had enough glasses and cups for the number of guests the apartment accommodates.
Overall, the score is 3.25, with a final score of 3. Being forced to sleep with earplugs is not something I enjoy or am...
Read moreGreat location and the staff at check in were|great. I had to contact them during my stay and they were very responsive and helpful. ||There's no permanent reception so every is via the phone and checkin is via appointment.||The apartment was comfortable and has|everything you need. Bathroom had lots of|mould high up on walls.||The big problem was that noise from the street|and surrounding bars at night. Pretty much what other reviews have mentioned. Especially Friday and Saturday. The windows are super thin and do not block any noise so you'll have the pleasure of thumping music and no sleep until at least 2am. It’s not normal “nightlife noise”. ||And then you have all the noise of people leaving bars / shouting / breaking glass for the next hour, followed by the glass bins being collected around 5am.||It was so bad after 2 nights we decided to leave a day early and book another hotel.|When we contacted the hotel to let them know|they were very responsive and tried to help.||They offered another room in the building or a|room at another site and a taxi transfer at their|expense. When we looked at reviews of the|other site we decided against it as they were not good. When we asked about moving to another room in the building (as offered 30mins earlier) we were told it was miraculously not available.||Stay here for the location and if you don't mind|sleeping in...
