Lato 15 — Local services in Rome

There is a saying in Hebrew that sometimes it's better to have more luck than brains. We just arrived to Rome, and started walking to explore the city. At some point I saw this sign "Lato15: unconventional food", and I said, well, interesting what we can find here. My partner and myself went in, don't know at all where we are going to enter. We met Francesco, a very very lovely guy, full of kindness, generousity, high service consciousness, the willing to help, patience, welcoming and a big smile. He explained everything about the pieces of art-food (our words) they make every day in this place (there is quite a variety of vegan options). This is our storey about the place. BEST GELATO IN ROME! Coming from New York City and spending some time in Italy, I’ve tried Grom, Venchi and many others. THIS IS THE ONE!

The gelato here is absolutely fantastic and the owner Barbara is incredibly nice. Family-owned business that uses all organic ingredients and the shop has a lovely interior with tall, arched ceilings.

Best gelato we had on our trip - very close to the coliseum but in a back street so a little hidden away. The gelato was perfect and made fresh on the premises. We were lucky as there was a banana flavour that had just been made - it was wonderful.
