The food was actually tasty. I tried Chinese in Milan, and twice in Rome. This had the most upscale atmosphere and there was not a long wait for food. I ordered a Ting Tao Chinese beer and a Cantonese rice which was very tasty and served hot. The Asian lady who ran the place was only friendly and stopped by tables of locals and I was served by an attentive East Indian man. The woman reprimanded him loudly in Italian so I don't know what for, but any restaurant that makes a display of publicly scolding employees when the customer has not complained loses favor with me. I didn't tip much throughout Italy, as theirs is not a tipping culture except for extraordinary service, but I made sure to tip and thank him personally before leaving to show my appreciation. The place got busy after 8 pm so don't wait too late to show up. Prices were reasonable and It's still worth trying. With a beer it cost €14, but the beer was €4 which makes it a very reasonable one...
Read moreFirst off, I don't know how this restaurant has such great ratings because the food was bland and an embarrassment to real Chinese food. I have never eaten Chinese food so plain and tasteless in my life until I stopped by here. I ordered three dishes and 2/3 barely had any taste. the remaining one had sauce so it gave the dish some life. I think plain white rice has more taste than the dishes. throwing in soy sauce and tofu doesn't make food Chinese! I have ordered soup as well and the soup was so salty that if I had drunken it, I would have been sent to the hospital immediately from overdose. I let a worker know and she changed the soup for me. the new soup was TASTELESS. why was there such a huge difference in taste between the two soups? The quality of the ingredients was also severely poor. FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!! if you are Chinese, don't go because it isn't...
Read moreI'm starting to suspect that most reviews here are either bots or are from the unfortunate people who've never eaten real Chinese food before. As a Chinese person, I can tell you that this is the worst dining experience I've ever had. Flavorless spring rolls came with watered down sauce, our sweet and sour chicken was a pile of white slices doused in the same sauce instead of being fried, and they somehow managed to even mess up Guangdong fried rice by adding SPAM in it. There is nothing authentic about this place, and I am appalled and embarrassed by the terrible quality of "Chinese" food that Rome...
