Review for Mr.100 Tiramisù – Overhyped and Rude Service
After walking for so long just to visit this famous spot, we arrived as a group of nine, eager to try their well-known tiramisu. The place had a long queue for takeout and only three empty tables outside, each with two chairs. My mother and younger brother sat at one of them while the rest of us waited in line to ask if they had space inside for all of us. We already knew there were two large tables inside that could comfortably fit our group.
One of the waiters immediately came over and told my mother to leave the table, despite the fact that there were still other empty ones available. Then, another staff member, wearing glasses and pretending to be polite, insisted that she had to move because we were a large group. My mother explained that she just wanted to sit there with my brother while the rest of us would split up at different tables or sit in the nearby square. He kept insisting that large groups must make a reservation, even though there were clearly empty tables inside.
Frustrated by their rudeness, we decided to leave. That’s when they suddenly told us that we could sit inside—after initially refusing when we asked. Since we were already there, we decided to stay and order.
When the waiter (a curly-haired, light-blond guy) came to take my mother’s order, she simply said, "I don’t want" because she was still upset about their behavior. Instead of just moving on, he raised his voice and rudely corrected her English, claiming she said "I don’t got." His tone was incredibly unprofessional.
Apart from this awful service, the tiramisu itself was nothing special. It was nicely presented, but the taste was the same as any other tiramisu in Rome—if not worse. I genuinely don’t understand why this place went viral when you can find much better tiramisu elsewhere. We regretted spending money on such a mediocre (or even bad) dessert.
As we were leaving, I told the curly-haired waiter that he had been rude. He apologized to me, and I told him to apologize to my mother instead. Of course, he didn’t even bother.
I hope people stop making these overrated, tasteless places famous. They don’t deserve the hype.
Also the toilet was very dirty and they told as to go in Instagram for the menu and there wasn't prices...
Read moreAbsolutely outstanding. If you love tiramisu, this place is calling your name -- they not only have some of the best traditional tiramisu in Rome, but their innovative kitchen team has also put together 100 other spins on this classic Italian dessert that take it to the next level.
I dropped by Mr. 100 in the afternoon without a reservation, which was a smidge risky given how popular they've gotten on social media recently. We managed to snag one of their patio tables after a brief 15-minute wait, which gave us plenty of time to ponder which of the hundred flavors we were going to pick.
You can't go wrong with any of the flavors, but the great thing about this spot is that you can really tailor your experience to fit your tastes. Do you want something fruity? There's like twenty options you can choose with either fresh fruit or marmalade. Love biscotti or nutella? Well, there's like ten biscotti-related options and another ten for the beloved chocolate hazelnut spread. Want something nutty? Do you prefer super sweet or not-so-sweet desserts? Do you want something a little savory for a little sweet-and-salty moment? Well, Mr. 100 Tiramisu has it all. After much indecision, we ended up settling on the pistachio, almond, and pine nut tiramisu, which was outstanding. It was a bit on the sweeter end, but I loved the extra bit of texture and flavor from all the nuts. The tiramisu itself was incredible -- the mascarpone was creamy and slightly tart, and the ladyfingers were super soft from being soaked in the coffee and sandwiched between the mascarpone mixture. The dessert was rich and quite decadent, while also being light, airy, and not overly sweet or indulgent. It somehow struck the perfect balance of flavors and textures to feel really satisfying, but...

Most of their trade seems to come from people getting walk-in tiramisu orders, but I’d highly encourage you to try their other offerings as well.
My wife and I are vegetarian, so when we enquired about their food options we were pleasantly surprised when we were told by our waiter that they’d be able to adapt their bruschetta board to our requirements. We also ordered the cheese board and got our waiter’s recommendation on a glass each of local wine. He was very knowledgable and asked about our preferences and tailored those to what he felt would accompany our food well.
When the food came out we were amazed to see how much effort they’d gone to for us. Initially the waiter had warned us that some of the bruschetta options within the board may be repeated, as the usual offerings contained meat, however, they’d prepared several off-menu things for us instead and I’ve got to say, they were all incredible. The local cheese was amazing too and all of the ingredients used for the bruschettas were so fresh and flavoursome and all in all we had an amazing night here.
I can’t thank the guys at Mr 100 Tiramisu enough for making us feel included. Lots of restaurants in the area are very expectant of passing tourist trade and therefore don’t want to make the effort - especially for vegetarians, but these guys went above and beyond, both in terms of their service and quality of food. I’d recommend...
