If you have a gluten free diet, you get used to having to settle for processed, mediocre at best food, and learn to be happy if you just get something safe to eat. This is NOT the case in New Food Experience-restaurant. They serve AMAZING DISHES in a pleasant, stylish restaurant, which is located in the Prati-district close to Lepanto metro station and Cola di Rienzo. A nice area to stay as well, peaceful, safe, central, and with great shopping on Cola di Rienzo and Corso Ottaviano. The front of the house staff is really nice, kind and truly professional- thank you Romano, Mamadu and the entire team, you are wonderful! The restaurant is popular, so reservations are recommended. The serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. At breakfast we loved their suberb pistachio-croissants, filled with really tasty pistachio-cream. Lunch we did not get to try, but at dinner we fell in love with the best fresh pasta I have ever eaten- tagliolini, like a more narrow but thicker tagliatelle. They have a wide selection of dishes on their menu. The food is so excellent, that even non gf eaters are truly happy with the dishes. The whole experience is that of a casual fine dining restaurant. Perfect! At this level, I have not encountered another dedicated gluten free restaurant. I wish they would do a traditional menu as well- fiori di zucca made in the traditional way, ravioli con burro e salvia or panzarotti con salsa di noce…they do serve the traditional pastas cacio e pepe, carbonara and amatriciana, and the recommended truffle pasta, which I have return to Rome for;), as we sadly found the restaurant so late we did not have time to try everything:) New Food also has several bakeries in Rome. In addition to the cakes (Maritozzi, Cannolli…) the bakeries serve pizza al taglio and some packaged lasagna. Prices are really reasonable. Their tiramisu-maritozzi was heavenly! They seem to use fresh, real ingredients, not cheap and processed ones. The taste was entirely different than in the Altre Farine Del Mulino, which did have nice bread though. Viva New Food! Do...

My husband and I were recently in Rome for one week and we ate an evening meal here on 24/04/2025 following a visit to the Vatican Museum.
We had been given a recommendation by Cosimo to try here having already visited the previous day the associated 100% gluten free New Food shop on Via Salaria near the Borghese Gallery.
When we were shown to our seat it was explained that everything sold was 100% gluten free. My husband ordered the bread starter which consisted of four different types of gluten free bread. He said they were all delicious.
We both ordered Carbonara for our main meal and Tiramisu for our dessert. Both courses were delicious and as a non GF eater, I can say the GF Tiramisu was the best I have ever tasted. As well as the above we had two bottles of water and the total bill was 63 euros which was excellent value for money.
If you are in the area, PLEASE visit, you won’t be disappointed. You could not tell the food was...
Read moreWe had dinner on the 3 th of July, we found this restaurant on Google because of my niece's lactose intolerance. Best choice!!! We had a couple of entrees: the octopus salad was well balanced and the octopus was tasty and properly cooked, also the frittura mista was good and tasty, and complimentary gluten-free bread and the crispy saffron bread were really interesting. For the main course we ordered: lasagna and grilled calamari with a side of caponata, also in this case everything was really good, you can taste the quality of the product! Service is very attentive and the guys are hilarious making your dinner a huge pleasure. We highly recommend for Gluten and...
