Osteria da Pina — Restaurant in Rome

A very pleasant restaurant with outdoor seating, which on a pleasant day like today, elevates the experience. We ordered Pina's antipasto, carbonara, beef with arugula and parmesan, beer, and wine. The antipasto was well-served, with plenty of it, but a bit confusing for a foreigner. The bread and sandwich platter wasn't very appealing; the dumplings all had the same dough (dry and flavorless) and were quite spicy. The sides were very tasty, especially the red onion. What a find! Visiting Rome for the first time and stumbled into this place dispite it not having a presence on Google Maps or a full website. And boy am I thankful I did. I enjoyed the best meal I had in Rome. The Tonnarelli cacio e pepe was EXCELLENT. The Saltimbocca alla romana was EXCELLENT. Even the hamburger and fries were great. The house wine Venetian Callesella Rosso was perfect. Wonderful dinning room....

It was a wonderful experience and attached to my hotel. I had an espresso and croissant here for breakfast before venturing out for the day, and then came back for apretivo and dinner after. My bartender/server at dinner didn’t speak much English, so we used a lot of google translate, and had a lot of laughs together in the process. Great little spot that is not inundated...
