Osteria Jenny — Restaurant in Rome

Living in the neighbourhood, I've come to eat a couple of times here.

The food is above average at best, but given the prices, I'd say it's fair.

As for the reason for such a negative review, well, I found a dead cockroach on my plate. Sure, the waiter gave me a replacement as soon as I let him know, but my appetite was already ruined.

I wish it ended there, but as I was paying for my meal, the owner apologised to me and told me she seldom goes into the kitchen.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone given my experience and the utter lack of care...

Loved this place, we stayed close by and came twice here because the owner (I believe) is very friendly and warm. Her son is the cook, and they do an excellent job. One time, I had to order food to go (for my children), and they gave us their plates, like a neighbor would do, she just asked us to bring them back (We did the next day). The food was delicious and their prices were fair. If we ever go back to Rome, we will definitely...

For me this is just one of the places you always hope to find when looking for a nice restaurant where the locals eat to gasp some authentic vibe. What can say: Jenny brought it to us! Just like she gave some more wine for free when the glasses where empty… You my think you have to read the menu to know what you want, but Jenny (I don’t know if that’s her name… sorry!) did already read you and offers you thinks wich are not even...
