Piacere Molise — Restaurant in Rome

Great little restaurant near Vatican that doesn't break the bank. Pizza, pasta and antipasti were all good though the Italians have the habit to put too much salt in their dishes and the pasta was very salty. The lady serving could benefit from a customer service course since paying 51 Euros with credit card was causing her some major challenges due to the 3% credit card fee charged to her business. She said this is only happening in Italy and we all know that paying cash in the restaurant industry is unfortunately opening the door to tax evasion and money laundering. It was a bit difficult to get the wait staff's attention sometimes but I think it's because she didn't have much help and so was in the hall busy drying cups and whatnot. It turns out I'm not too big a fan of how al dente Rome cooks it's pasta and I thought the flavor was ok, but my husband loved his dish and mine when he tasted it. My favorite part, hands down, was the tiramisu!! It was the best we had while in Italy and we tried 5 more times in 4 different cities and couldn't find one that matches :(. I couldnt recommand you this restaurant enough. If we could have went every single day of our trip, we would have. It was Christmas so they were closed, but I can tell you it's the most authentic italian restaurant, with an amazing food made by the most italian looking like old man I have ever seen and his wife. The wine is perfect, every dish seems to be wonderfully made for a very basic price, there is also homemade desserts, I recommand taking the traditional pastas that would include parmigiano, and the atmosphere is warm and family like.
