Title: A Gastronomic Adventure at Baires
As I stepped into Baires, I was transported to the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires. The aroma of sizzling meats and freshly baked empanadas filled the air, tantalizing my taste buds. Our server, while not fluent in English, was warm and welcoming, and we managed to navigate the menu with a little creativity.
The tartar, a symphony of flavors and textures, was a revelation. Fresh, tender beef, expertly mixed with herbs and spices, melted in my mouth. The asado, a slow-cooked masterpiece, fell off the bone, its rich flavors infused with the perfect balance of salt and pepper. The steaks, cooked to perfection, were served with a side of that incredible chimichurri sauce, which added a tangy, herby note to each bite.
The wine list, featuring an impressive selection from Mendoza, perfectly complemented our meal. The Malbec, full-bodied and rich, paired beautifully with the bold flavors of our dishes.
While the service was warm and attentive, the language barrier made communication a bit tricky. However, the staff's enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring our satisfaction made up for it.
In conclusion, Baires is a must-visit for any food enthusiast. With its authentic Argentine cuisine, cozy atmosphere, and excellent wine selection, this restaurant is a true gem. Be prepared for a culinary adventure that will leave you wanting more!

Read moreFirst time to try Argentinian cuisine and was impressed and satisfied.
The menu is huge with lots of dishes to choose from. You can easily get lost between dishes if you don't know exactly what you want to eat! I liked the fact their menu shows the part of meat each dish is made of 🥺
Ambiance is great, with some touches that make you feel that you are in Argentina. The restaurant has 2 floors so there will be enough seating for almost everyone if you are going there out of peek hours and days. Restaurant is clean and there are some sort of privacy between some tables.
We dined there the other day and we had steaks, some starters and ended with dessert. Food was served in a reasonable time span considering what we ordered. Food tasted super good 👌 and you can taste ingredients used. Only take on is i felt that sizes or portions when served don't reflect what actually is in the menu, I ordered one of their 350 grams steaks and it looked about 250 grams in the dish but still was tasty and just the way I like it 👌
Location is somehow convenient in the center of Rome and within walking distance to major bus stops so no need to worry about getting there using your car.
Nice restaurant to try especially if seeking Argentinian food....
Read moreMy wife and I ate here this evening. While my food was very good, my wife ordered the 10oz tenderloin and it was not cooked the way she ordered. My wife ordered her steak to be cooked medium and it came rare. We raised this with our server who took it back and returned it two minutes later, still rare and bloody. This was the last time we saw her for the rest of the night. At no point did anyone come and ask us how our food was. We had to flag down random staff to complain about the steak and they still charged us.
I asked the staff if the boss was around but they only spoke Spanish. I was able to communicate my concerns in Spanish, and the restaurant took the position that because we didn’t complain the second time the steak came back, that we should have to pay. I made it clear that there was nobody to complain to because our server literally shunned us for the remainder of the evening.
Ultimately, they took 22 euro off our bill. The steak was 36 euro. We paid it just to put an end to our misery.
I have never in my life sent back food. We sent this back. Medium steak is supposed to be pink in the centre and cooked to 130-140F. I have included a picture of the raw meat they served us,...
