Oh my! So glad we stumbled upon this place. Headed out to another restaurant close by but when we arrived it was soooo hot on their patio we kept walking. Found this place bc they had inside seating with AC. Don’t get me wrong we love sitting outside but we are in the midst of a heatwave in Italy this month. Glad we did. Family team serving and making our meal. It was delish and moderately price. Cacio e pepe, some sort of sausage pasta and calamari fritto which we did not photograph bc we ate it too fast. 50 bucks for 2 primis, 1 secondi, 2 apertifs and a small bottle of wine. Oh yeah, we were the only tourists there. A couple other tables with some neighborhood folks there who apparently...

It was around 9pm, 5 tables open, so I asked for a table for 1 (after finally arriving in Rome after 17 hours of travel). The staff seemed to want to be accommodating, but the owner (?) gave a swift no, so I went on my way. To scream at your own customers is not good behavior - the tap water offered at restaurant wasn't good and so filled the glasses with own water. The pasta dishes were also relatively disappointing: the spaghetti was overcooked past al dente for all three dishes, the cacio e pepe had an unnoticeable amount of black pepper, the amatriciana was way too thick in tomato sauce it felt caked, and the carbonara was probably best, though undersalted (I suspect they didn't properly salt their pasta water). In short, I cannot in good faith recommend this...
