This place rocks!! Food was delicious, and the people running it were very nice! I got plenty of smiles and very delicious food. My family and I got the artichokes and zucchini appetizers and they were immaculate! For our first courses : My mom got the calamari, which she said is one of the best she’s had, they included “the small guys” and weren’t over fried. My dad got the spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter and sage, and we had previously tried this at a different restaurant.. it was WAY better here! The perfect amount of ravioli with a delicious flavor. My sister and I both got what basically is spaghetti with sauce, my sister got it with bacon and I got it without, and the flavor profiles created were absolutely perfect. It’s what I’ve been craving and honestly I haven’t been able to find a place that nailed it on the head so accurately. The noodles were the perfect boat for the sauce! We ordered 2 limencello spritz’s and an aperol spritz and they were the most balanced spritz’s we’ve had. Not to alchohol-y not too prosecco-y, just a nice balanced drink. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and a semifreddo nougat with coffee and I literally cannot stop thinking about these. I remembered to snap photos but only when we were about half of the way through! The tiramisu was absolutely divine with the perfect amount of cream and coffee. And for the nougat, I was suprised with how much I enjoyed it! I’m not usually a nougat fan but my standards have been raised for this! This meal was so delicious and such a perfect last night in Italy, it almost makes me cry to leave. I will! be crying at leaving. Some of these reviews are such an american idea of what a restaurant is supposed to be that you forget your in an entire other country! It’s a small local eatery, definitely Roman-Italian and the owners are not as grumpy as people say. America has a distorted views of restaurants with customers thinking they are always in the right when they are not. Read up on the local customs!! Be ready to spend some time waiting, and just chatting with the people around you! Most importantly, learn some Italian!! You are in their country! It doesn’t have to be perfect but even showing your trying makes it 100% better!! Definitely make a reservation, it shows courtesy on both ends! Thank you again so so much for the delicious dinner, if we were here longer we’d come back again!!

**Title: "Shocking Lack of Compassion for Elderly Guests"** **Rating: ★☆☆☆☆** My 72-year-old mother and I stopped at Ponte Vittorio for a brief rest during a scorching day, hoping to hydrate before continuing our sightseeing. Instead of offering basic hospitality, a staff member aggressively confronted us, demanding my elderly mother *stand up and leave* because we weren’t immediately ordering food. This behavior was inexcusable: - **No empathy**: The staff showed zero concern for an older person’s well-being in extreme heat. - **Hostile attitude**: The interaction felt more like an eviction than a request. - **Poor professionalism**: Even if policy requires seating for customers, a humane approach (e.g., offering water or a time limit) would’ve been simple. We’ve dined at countless Italian restaurants, but this was the first time we felt *unwelcome as human beings*. A pizzeria that prioritizes profits over basic decency doesn’t deserve patronage. Avoid unless you enjoy being treated like a nuisance.

I’m not sure what happened to this place but their pizza quality has diminished significantly. We first ate here about 10 years ago and loved their food. We visited in mid December 2021 and had pizza. It was not good. It was a completely different pizza from what they used to serve. It had no real taste. The sauce was bland as was the cheese. I’ve attached before and after pics of their pizzas. I really hope they return to their old style of pizza making. I will say that their service was good and they are very kind…as always.

We wanted to drink a coffee at 2 pm there. When the waiter arrived he told us in a very rude way that there is only lunch and we have to order a meal. Otherwise we have to go. While we were still collecting our things and getting up, he put napkins and place mats on our table and our things. When we asked him if he could wait another half a minute until we were gone, he just said that he was working and we should leave immediately. Meanwhile, we noticed how they rudely sent a family with two small children (one of whom was crying) away when they wanted to sit at a table outside. Unfortunately, you can't give zero stars at Google because even one is too many for this restaurant. Something like this has never really happened to me in any restaurant in the...
