Worth the detour, even straight from the plane!

If you’re searching for an unforgettable dining experience in Rome, look no further than this exceptional osteria. During my recent visit, I indulged in their Florentine steak—a dish so sublime it deserves its own accolade. Perfectly grilled to a smoky char on the outside while retaining succulent, tender juiciness within, it was a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor. Every bite confirmed why this steak is legendary, seasoned impeccably and served with rustic elegance.

What’s more, this meal was worth rushing from the airport for!

The service matched the quality of the food: attentive, polished, and genuinely hospitable. The staff offered thoughtful recommendations, paired dishes with excellent local wines, and ensured every detail felt special.

In short, this osteria isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a destination. Whether you’re a steak enthusiast or simply crave an authentic taste of Italy with heartwarming service,...

We had lunch at Osteria Luci in Cucina on a weekday, just the two of us. The place was quite full, but we were lucky enough to get a small table outside. The restaurant is cozy and nicely furnished, with a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

The staff was friendly, though it took about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order — not a big issue, but worth mentioning. We shared a meatball starter and a plate of rigatoni al sugo di coda alla vaccinara: both dishes were tasty and well prepared.

For dessert, we had a “Lucimisù” — their take on tiramisù — which was excellent, and a simple dish of fresh pineapple.

The final bill was around €25 per person, including still water and no other drinks, which is fair for the location and quality.

If you’re looking for a traditional Roman meal in a central, charming spot near Castel Sant’Angelo, this place is definitely worth a stop. Booking might be a good idea, especially...

Edit: Read the owner's reply and threats to this review and decide whether or not you want to give them your business.

Be careful leaving a bad review of this place, they will threaten to sue you.

There are many empty 5 star reviews from accounts who have few reviews as well. It can make one wonder why they have a high overall rating.

To the owner: This is a factual statement and I have proof of your threat so do not threaten me again on this review.

Another edit to respond to owner's renewed threats on this review: I stand by my review. The wall under the kitchen window hallway to the back was dirty and scraped and I have picture proof of it. It was very obviously not intentional and not part of an "architect". It wasn't even matching the design in the dining room which I assume you're...

Quite disappointing since we saw how nice the reviews on the steaks are. We arrived at 7.30pm with 2 wait staffs which was fine. They were very friendly and accomodating but one staff left at 8.00pm so there was only one staff left for around 8 tables and around 30+ guests! We got the mixed cold cut for appetizers which was great, then our pasta was cold because there was only one server and our pasta was sat on the counter for 5 minutes. It was very salty as well. I then tried the truffle steak since I saw the great reviews, sauce was great but I ordered medium rare and got rare steak instead which made it very tough to chew. 10/10 for the only server trying his best and the wine but everything else was very disappointing.
