The negative reviews left on Google about this place are frustrating because most of them reflect ignorance rather than a true depiction of the restaurant (they do NOT, for example, expect you to get more than one meal, as one reviewer said - that's just ridiculous!). We actually stayed in an Airbnb in the same building as Taverna Giulia, but didn't eat there until our last night. Tucked away in a recessed piazza, it was easy to overlook. We went on a Friday evening during a national holiday and got dedicated service. We ordered guinea fowl with orange sauce and pansotti with walnut sauce; it was the best meal we had in Rome over 4 days! Prices were reasonable too. We shared a half bottle of wine for just €6.50! Highly recommend this place to any traveler looking for a great dining experience with a...

We arrived at the restaurant - the waiters who were standing at the door did not seem excited about us going there. The restaurant was completely empty, but that's because they had just opened. All the time they acted as if they didn't want us, as if we were inferior customers for them or they didn't like tourists.

The pizza was such that I had the feeling that it was made of semi-finished food - it was regular, uninspired.

We managed to spill a drink, but the cashier didn't even bother to change the tablecloth. The cashier didn't communicate properly when delivering the food. Drinks like coca-cola just brought, not opened, not poured.

I wanted to write that the food didn't cost much, but when they charged us 2x service it didn't look cheap at all. I have no positive emotion from visiting...

We went for lunch today. From the outside the terras looked cosy. Service was bad... We asked for another table and the owner made gestures like: You are asking for something stupid. We were seated on top of a ventilation vent, which was blowing hot air underneath us... We stayed on the same place to avoid some more discussion, with the grumpy owner .

Waiter forgot the drinks we ordered, the portions were small and the pizza was straight from the freezer. We quickly paid the bill to get out of there. It became clear we had to pay €4,- for the service. Which...

If I could give zero starts I will give it without thinking twice. Worst restaurant in Rome so far. We paid 32.50 for what you see on the pics. I m still hungry and the food was horrible. Plus, the employees are staring at you while you eat. It’s 2euros more per person only for seating on the table. No good vegetarian options. Don’t come, don’t even enter.

Cucina ligure, una particolarità rara a Roma, piatti finalmente nuovi e interessanti nella tradizione italiana ma di una regione meno nota e per fortuna non sfruttata nei menù turistici. Qualità ottima, ristorante elegante old fashion come il servizio.
