I came for the pretty looking pastry that i saw on someone else’s story on instagram! I liked the location and the place itself. It was very cute, vibrant and aesthetically pleasing fancy place which is not typical for Rome.I came on 8th March-Women’s Day.There were only two tables taken,so not much crowded.Honestly,i was quite disappointed by the service because when i came in the lady over the counter was not really friendly, she was answering my questions as if i came to eat for free…I must add the pastry was actually really good and fresh, the cappuccino was on point too. They charge “servizio al tavolo” which is totally fine but i do expect that service but i saw none. When she brought my order she didn’t even bother saying something to my “thank you” at least out of politeness. This kind of ruined the whole mood as it was Women’s Day…What makes up a good place is professional service and a good food.Sadly, they have to improve the service pretty much.At the end,i came to the counter to pay.I waited for 5 minutes for someone to at least pay attention to me.There were three people and none of them had an interest to let me PAY though the lady that serviced me saw me standing there. I expect more from a place where the price tag is...
Read moreTE cioccolateria is a lovely place close to Basilica and Cola di Rienzo. Next to their vast variety of sweet things you can find also had a big variety of salty things. We had a piece of plumcake with chestnut and a piece of crostata with ricotta e visciole. Both amazingly tasty, in both you can tell almost all the ingredients when you eat. Complimenti. We had also Macaron and one pistacchio e lampone dessert. Unfortunately the macarons are not good, it was too small and too dry, the chocolate cream not really enjoyable. For 3 eur (oct 2024) it is way more than overpriced. However, the other dessert was tasty the cream of Lampone inside a fluid pistacchio cream 😋 delicious. For salty we had sfogliattela farcita with ricotta e spinaci. 😋 it was a mind blowing experience, very good, bottoncini (small panini) with salmon and the other one was with prosciutto cotto. Also these are incredibly tasty. Try also the pizzeta. The chocolate which looks by the way very delicious and gelato with all the other homemade biscotti I will try...
Read moreI came here specifically because of what I saw on their Instagram — the pastries looked amazing and made me really hungry. But when I arrived, I was honestly disappointed. The viennoiseries they post online are nothing like what they actually sell in-store. The selection was small, and the items didn’t look fresh or appealing at all.
I love chocolates, and since they present themselves as a “cioccolateria”, I expected more. Unfortunately, they offer very few chocolate options. They occupy a big space, almost like two storefronts, but there’s very little food inside. They sell chocolate at €95 per kilo, which might be justified if the product looked high-end — but it really doesn’t. Even the way they wrap the chocolates is off-putting: the plastic is crumpled and looks like it’s already been handled. It doesn’t make you want to buy anything.
Such a shame, because the concept seemed so promising — but the actual experience didn’t...
