We were regular clients of this pub, been there several times. Before COVID restrictions, everything was even better (which is understandable). They had a large variety of beers to choose from, an actual bartender, in the middle of the confusion, the food also managed to arrive in time. Having returned there this summer was a disappointment. First of all, it is not understandable what they serve and what they don't: from their menu they serve few of all the written stuff and there is not even a sign or word to indicate what you cannot order, making it all complicated. Second, trying to order something to drink, a girl working there literally told me to choose something easy to make and light in alcohol (she meant a cocktail with only one type of alcohol). When my drink came, it was not good at all. Another time they did not have any red beer (essential in a pub I'd say, since many people like me don't like blonde beer). Lastly, we called to reserve a table during the Euro2020 matches and they told us it was not doable to reserve in advance (we called 1 day before), so we took their advice and arrived there 2 hours before the match to have a seat, but the tables were signed "reserved" (so it was doable?). So, I wonder, if you have no seats left or you don't like to reserve a table for me (to consume food and drink, not just for drinking), why do you make me come there hours before, losing time and then getting stuck in the traffic before the match without any other possibility? There are thousands of other places I could have reserved the day before after I called your pub if only you had told me it was already full. For this great inconvenience and, sincerely speaking, disappointment (I really liked the place and the atmosphere there), not turning back and opting for an Irish pub for the sports season next year. A good pub cannot hope to survive because of the atmosphere only, it also needs product and service quality, considering the competition in a...
Read moreCrowded and rude bartender. I ordered Mojitos and the bartender asked me to say some words in Italian. I said it and he refused to make me Mojitos but laughed at me with his coworkers. I asked the bartender directly why did he make me say that and he said because we donât have mojitos đ¤ˇââď¸ I find this very unprofessional and very rude considering racism as I am Asian. Not recommended if youâre not italian, I went on Saturday night and it was super crowded.
Iâm sure I did review the right place. I went on bar crawl with Alessandro on November 4th 2023. Yes I realize itâs been a while but my experience still very hard to forget. At that time I hadnât drink anything yet so I remember it very well. Iâm not sure what the language he wanted me to say, but I can tell you which one who made fun of me. I confirmed the highlander bar I went was Vicolo San Biagio 9 at 11pm
Edited My mistake it was Saturday night. I am surprised how you responded to all bad reviews like youâre not accepting the flaws and try to do better. I pointed it out this had happened to me and you still make fun of it and protecting your people, how ridiculous đ Now I can believe why the bartender has the racism and I did give review on the right place. No it was not Alessandro who harassed me it was one of your bartender. Iâm glad Alessandro took us to another bar and I got Mojito without any offense. I can tell you the bartender who said that if you contact me. I donât want any explanation from you all I need is sorry from you and your staff and if thatâs too much, then good luck with...
Read moreSERIOUSLY Even one star is too much for them. If you are a woman traveling alone, PLEASE do not go this place. When I visited here alone last summer, during the EURO 2016, one of the staff who looks quite old(I dont know what he does there, and he doesn't look like a bartender. But I am sure he works there because he said so and he looks friendly with bartenders there) showed me some adult video and laughed by himself. I was very embarrassed and asked what the hell he was doing, but he didn't care. Also he took several photos of my body(legs, hips) secretly, so I shouted at him about what he did after noticing it. Even though he spoke English very well before then, he pretended that he could not speak English at all. I took his cellphone and tried to delete the photos, but the language was set as some "alien" language to me(it was not italian, cuz I can read italian). I told him to show the album, but he repeated the gesture saying "I dont know what you are saying". I told this absurd situation to the bartender, but he said "it's the western culture. In western culture, it is very common to take pictures". Haha what an absolutely insane and absurd thing! Is it the western culture to take a picture of other woman secretly? Totally insane bartender...
