Not sure we would have found the building had we not had transportation arranged, but once we got to the building it was beautiful. Had to go up to the second floor to access the hotel itself, as it shares a building with other businesses. Our room was on the same floor as reception and easily accessible. Plenty of room for two of us and our luggage.||Bed and pillows were very comfortable, did request an extra blanket and it was provided. Bathroom was large and clean, rain shower showerhead had excellent pressure. Bathrobes, slippers and large fluffy towels were luxurious, and there was a great hairdryer available. No vanity mirror in our bathroom, not sure if there are any in the bigger rooms/suites. We booked a trendy deluxe room. | |This hotel was centrally located to all the sites we planned to see and walk to: Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Castel San Angelo and even Vatican City. The Colosseum and Roman Forum were probably within walking distance, but we hired a private tour guide and car for those visits. ||There is a well-appointed convenience store just across the street for buying water, tea, snacks and soda (for a bit less than the minibar in the room). There is also a bar (cafe) that serves caffe, pastries and some sandwiches right next to the hotel, but they were only open until mid-afternoon, I think. So every time we returned from an outing they were closed.||Breakfast offerings were generous and delicious: cheeses, meats, fresh fruits, pastries. Scrambled eggs, oven-baked bacon, quiches were warm and tasty. Cereals, breads and a toaster available. Caffe prepared by the staff was delicious. Elisa was always very bubbly and pleasant, every single morning and even remembered what we drank when we showed up! ||Restaurant recommendations were spot-on and help with reservations were key. Strongly recommend getting reservations to make sure there is no wait. |Our favorite recommendation was La Buca di Ripetta!||Plenty of shops and grab-and-go eateries in the neighborhood, as well as your pick of gelaterias. Giolittos is one to try, for sure. ||Thank you for the hospitality! I would recommend this hotel and would definitely consider...
Read moreI had very bad experience with them, as i had a medical condition and when i enter the room i saw the room temperature was 29 , so i went immediately to the reception and request him to switch off the heater , and to switch on the AC since the weather was still not cold enough for me. The receptionist was telling me nothing we can do for you wait till tomorrow. I said i cannot you can see my hand, ears and face become very red and i start feeling the tingling and numbness which is not go to my health and its is like attacking my body. He started to take it personally as im saying something weird, i told him at least call you manager and explain to her my situation she might have a solution, unfortunately, she was not at all and she was requesting me to provide her a medical report!!!!!!!!! I was shocked and surprised and told her my face and my hand is an evidence that i have medical condition, she said that we are not sure if we can return the money and i said when i book through a company you have mentioned that you have an AC and thats why i chose the hotel . Later she said ok i will ask my colleague to get you another hotel which im sure it will be a difficult to found one with AC. The first hotel i search we called them and they have an Ac. And by tomorrow she will do the cancellation and return the money to me . I was following up with them through the company i booked my hotel and what he said “ Dear Ms. …., As per your conversation with Ms. … yesterday you have to explan to the company i have booked with the reason of the cancellation, also We will accept cancellation of the last four nights but not the first. So the hotel will refund you 4 nights” which was not the case and she didn’t tell that. I called customer service of the company I did the booking with and explained the situation and they understand. Since 23Nov up to today 19 Dec i have not received the refund yet, despite several reminders to the company i have made the reservation as they are still following up with them for...
Read moreWe just spent a week at this lovely hotel. It is located in a very beautiful area of Rome. The bus # 100& 119 stop in front of the hotel. It is close to the Spanish Steps. |We found the staff to be the nicest and most helpful of any hotel staff in Rome. Our room was always cleaned and ready for us. The furnishings & Christmas decorations around the hotel were wonderful. |We were lucky to meet and have Luca, Julia and Kaylid greet us and take care of us in the morning or the evening after our long day exploring Rome. |They helped us print out our excursion documents. They were so welcoming to us. They never said that there wasn’t something they couldn’t do. We took a pasta class & they warmed up our leftovers. |Breakfast was excellent and the staff were great. The main breakfast woman was wonderful. She was the beautiful, blonde woman. |We were able to check in at 12 noon. Most hotels don’t let you check in till later. |About a mile from the hotel are some delicious restaurants. You can eat inside or outside. There are special heater to keep the chill off you when you eat outside. |This hotel is wonderful and a true gem. We felt very safe here. The hotel is located in an old renovated building. The old Roman doors are closed at night. They have a camera that focuses on whoever is trying to be buzzed in. |There are amazing shops near the hotel. Many expensive, designer shops are near. It was fun to window shop. Because it is the Christmas season, we saw all the Christmas markets, lights and other Christmas shops. We were able to buy affordable items for Christmas presents. We would highly recommend this fabulous hotel. We hope to visit again in 2024. |Also, they have a safe deposit box in your room. This is helpful for your important work papers or computers or passports. We had a friend who didn’t have one in her B&B. She had to walk around Rome with her passport and she had it stolen from her purse. |Thank you to the Borghese Contemporary for making our vacation...
