After a few days of pasta and pizza, we wanted to try something Asian (closer to our home food) and saw good reviews for this restaurant. The place was empty and no other customers other than just the my wife and myself.
We ordered their pork fried rice, duck with ginger and onion sauce and sweet sour chicken and Jasmine tea. The tea came after 30 mins. We asked about the food, the waiter informed they were still cooking the food.
The fried rice was bland, with few partly frozen (uncooked, probably cooked the fried rice in a rush) and 4 to 5 pieces of pork slices. Fried rice was too wet and clumpy unlike any fried rice we have eaten.
The duck with ginger and onions was not edible at all. It didnt taste like any chinese food we have ever eaten in our life. It was more like some filipino duck dish, and we left it just like that.
Sweet and sour chicken was just ok but we ate it as we were hungry as the food was served very late close to 1hr from order despite no customers.
Attending waiter's service attitude was rude and not friendly at all. Each time i had stepped up to ask for tge food she was busy playing with her phone and just answered "cooking".
Overall a very bad experience and totally regret trying this place on 20th Dec 2024 after reading all the positive...
Read moreSuch a tricky place to review. We were craving some asian food because, well the options in the tourist areas weren’t very varied (okay I’m sugarcoating this, it’s either pizza or pasta). The prices seem unbelievably low but you have to take into account that the portions are quite small too. After going there for two meals my findings are: the sweet sour pork with rice is awesome, so is the stir fried rice noodles and siu mai. But fried wontons with pork tasted like food poisoning and so did the soup “ramen” with “3 delicious meats”. I understand that it is hard to keep everything fresh when.you have such a huge menu but the straw that broke the camel’s back (or rather the moment we knew we wouldn’t come back) was when a dozen insects gathered along the wall we were sitting at and we had to fend them off as if we were dining in a swamp in tropical Asia (it’s...
Read moreWe are from Canada and wanted to try some chinese food in Rome since it is our favorite cuisine so we wanted to give this restaurant a try. The food overal was good for the price and the portion size, but not an authentic chinese food , way different from what we usually have in Toronto, there was some lack of communication, which when we ordered prawn shrimp for apprtizer, we got a white puffy chips instead ( there was an english version of menu which state Praw Shrimp under Appetizer) and when we told waitres that's not what we ordered, they responded that is how they make the prawn!! Even sombody who didn't introduce himself showed up out of nowhere later and asked why we complained about shrimp and seemed pretty surprized about what we...
