TOURIST TRAP!!!!! DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE. Once you sit down you are done. Service and management are so bad that it almost makes you wonder how they are staying in business. It makes me very sad to have to write a bad review but this place deserves it. Beautiful location/view with decent food but service will kill the entire experience. After being sitted for over 7 minutes I asked the server for some bread and olive oil. He didn’t even look at me and as he was walking away he said: “No more bread”. Really? In Italy? Oh well. My wife and I ordered the same thing: chicken cutlets with fries and salad. We both asked to substitute the french fries for a simple side of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Nothing fancy. Now, remember that we are not only in Italy but in Sicily, where spaghetti and tomato sauce pretty much “grows in trees”. When I get my check, the bill shows 2 charges for 13 euros each for the pasta. I complained to the server who went and spoke to the manager/owner. He returned and told me that’s there’s nothing they can do about it and I have to pay the additional 26 euros. I then went to the register and spoke with the owner who, with a really bad attitude, said “there’s nothing we can do about it”. She was a very young lady and obviously inexperienced. I told her that this is bad for business and I will never be back. I added, if your “nona” (grandmother) was here she would spank you. I hope they read this and change their ways. The reason most people love Italian food is not just the food but also the experience of being treated almost like family.

Tourist trap! Terrible service the worst caprese salad with cheap ingredients, you're in Sicily tomatoes should be bright red and juicy! Not here they taste better from the supermarket in England. The service is bad too, just plonked the dishes infront of you and walked off! We only stopped as a quick bite.. Oh and the worst Arancini of my holiday! It was claggy and the breadcrumbs were chewy! Everywhere else manages to keep them crisp!

What a great place for lunch overlooking the harbor on a beautiful Fall day. The lasagne, ricotta ravioli and spigola (Mediterranean Sea bass was amazing. Both the lasagne and ravioli might be too heavy for some at lunch, but nonetheless it was very good. Excellent vino bianco frizzantti. The service was great as staff was fun and engaged whenever we needed something. Will definitely go back. Certainly worth a stop if in Ortigia!

We stayed on Ortigia Island for 4 nights and walked past this restaurant a few times during the day and thought we would save our last night of our holiday to sample what looked like good food from our observations on our daytime stroll past. How very wrong we were and so disappointed on our last night. We have had some excellent food on our 11 night stay in Sicily and on our final night we had the most disappointing food on our whole trip. We had a mixed platter as a starter which was made up of tasteless cheap produce not comparable from the amazing antipasto we had previously. The Octopus and shrimp risotto was complete with the ‘beak’ from the Octopus. There was no flavour of the sea to the dish which is quite an achievement when you consider the rich flavoured ingredients! With stunning view over the bay it is quite simply somewhere to stop for a drink and avoid at all costs eating here in the evening! The most expensive meal on our whole trip and by far the worst! Not expecting a pleasant feedback from the owners as they seem to from previous reviews dislike honest...

We've been in Sicily for a week, and we've been to the first restaurant where we felt bad. The food not only looked bad, but it wasn't bad at all. We've been raving about Italian cuisine for a week, and this one was a complete disaster. The service! Pathetic! We ordered beer and water, and the butler wanted us to leave because we had to order food, so we ordered the Italian dish, Caponata Siciliane. When we tried something, the waiter looked at us like we were idiots, his eyes saying, "Order more or I'll throw you out." Never again! We don't recommend it, but it wasn't tasty, and the bald waiter made us never return to this place, even though we bought a house...
