During the morning and afternoon you can just sit with a drink, but I think you need to order food at certain times of the day. However, this is a memorable place for a drink, overlooking the Ionian Sea far below and brooding Mount Etna off to the right. It’s extremely expensive but the service is friendly and you don’t feel rushed at all. You’ve come all the way: treat yourself to a bit of peace and an amazing view for an hour. For those complaining about the prices: there are many many places in Taormina with cheaper drinks, but none with this spectacular view and the quieter setting. After having a lovely first evening & spending over €100 at wunderbar,I was planning to spend most of my evenings here. We decided to return next day however when I approached a member of staff regarding a table I was bluntly told no. Despite there being no queue & it wasn’t very busy they didn’t seem eager to seat us. I then overheard another member of staff comment I had no respect (Bald guy, Tall) Which was pretty obvious and diminishing. because of the food here my mother threw up. the dishes we got were a caesar salad, burger, and a sandwich, not difficult dishes right? The salad had WAY to much dressing it was like soup and the sandwich was boring it was plain and didn’t have much to give. The burger is where things get rough. The burger had no flavor and it was only the stuff around it and that was disgusting. This burger was the reason my mom threw up.
