No Humanity or Decency Traveling with a baby is already challenging, but my experience here was beyond disappointing. I was the first customer of the day, choosing a table for four (2 adults and 1 baby) in the shade, as all other travelers were seeking tables in the sun. It’s low season, and the restaurant was completely empty. I ordered a salad, intending to order more once the baby woke up so they could eat fresh, hot food. However, the bald gentleman insisted I move to a smaller table despite the restaurant being empty, claiming I had to order more right away. I reassured him I would order additional dishes, just not immediately, as I was waiting for the baby to wake up. He reluctantly agreed to bring the salad first and the 2 main dishes as the baby wakes up. I left briefly to get milk and diapers, trying to calm myself after the unnecessary confrontation. When I returned, I found all the other plates on the table—completely disregarding my request and my situation. The man speaks fluent English, so there was no misunderstanding. This experience lacked basic human empathy. I want to emphasize that this man does not represent the warm, hospitable nature of Sicilian people. His behavior left a bitter taste in an otherwise beautiful journey.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for an aperitivo. We visited during the film festival, with a red carpet event happening just across the street. Despite the bar being nearly empty, the staff was rude and dismissive. We asked for a table just for half an hour (as we had a bus to catch), but the manager refused and seated us further back. Two of us ordered drinks right away, while the third asked for a little more time to decide. The older waiter responded sarcastically, saying, “The others have ordered — aren’t you going to order too?” It felt unnecessary and disrespectful. Not all the staff was impolite, though — a younger waiter was helpful and quickly brought me a plastic cup when I asked to take my aperol to-go since I didn’t have time to finish it. Overall, it felt like a very touristy spot that doesn’t show much respect for its visitors. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We are from the states and came to Sicily for our honeymoon. Did not look at reviews before deciding to eat here and I’m glad because we had the complete opposite experience from what many are saying here. Loris was our server both times we ate here and he was super super friendly and attentive. The seafood linguine, calamari, and cannolis/pastries were outstanding. Probably the best seafood pasta I’ve ever had and I am chef. The carbonara, although slightly over cooked, was still very delicious. It’s no Michelin star restaurant but the super friendly staff and tasty food were absolutely worth the price. Yeah it’s a little pricey but this is a tourist spot so I was anticipating that. They were also open when many others were closed so that’s a major plus when you’re hungry and have limited options. We would definitely come back. Thanks again Loris!

I cannot believe so many of the reviews I've just read. I've been on holiday in taormina from 6th April 2022 till 15th April 2022. I enjoy good food and don't mind paying for it and normally would always check TripAdvisor reviews. I'm so glad I didn't for this restaurant otherwise I wouldn't have tried it. I came here on my second day and as a result of the quality and high standards I ate here 5 evenings out of 9. The peppered mussels are excellent the bruschetta was very tasty and yesterday evening the spaghetti mare was superb. The pasta was cooked to Al dente perfection and the amount of mussels prawns clams squid and octopus was fantastic. As well as the great food it has a great vista and most days a couple of talented entertainers in the square play guitars and sing well known Italian songs. I'm back in taormina in September and will be coming here several times again. Do not believe the previous negative reviews from people who would obviously moan if it had 3...

Had a delightful lunch experience at Ristorante Del Corso with my dad. The location is perfect for a laid-back, casual lunch, offering a lovely view of the Ionian Sea right close to the square. Both of us enjoyed our entrées - the four cheese penne pasta and the Carbonara were spot on, embodying the comfort of Italian cuisine. The cocktails didn’t disappoint either, complementing our meal perfectly.

Service was friendly and efficient, making our dining experience even more pleasant. Prices were reasonable, which was a nice surprise for such quality offerings. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for some authentic pasta, pizza, or fish, paired with a good spritz.

To top off our meal, we stopped by the gelato shop next door, which was equally satisfying. While it may not claim to be the best in the world, Ristorante Del Corso is definitely a spot we’d return to for a reliably good lunch. A solid choice in Taormina for anyone looking for quality Italian fare...
