TLDR: Can highly recommend you pay a visit!! 😇 Lovely coffee, good coffee talks with the owner/barista, lovely croissants, and incredibly low prices for the types of specialty coffee you get here!
We visited ARTIFACT last week on a city trip to Torino, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. We heard they were selling a coffee from a roastery (Swerl) we had wanted to try, so we couldn't miss out on stopping by. We are suckers for filter coffee and will always try a pourover wherever we can, and with the good reviews of ARTIFACT, we couldn't miss one here! 🌟
But, since it was still early, and we were fostering a slight headache from the amount of amazing Piedmontese wine we had consumed the night before, we simply had to start with a milky coffee and a chocolately croissant. This turned out to be a great choice, as the espresso beans used for my flatwhite were super tasty and somewhat acidic, which complimented the sweet milk very well. And as I was enjoying this amazing cup of coffee and my croissant, the barista came over and excused himself and offered me another flatwhite. He mentioned he was distracted when pouring the milk in my first cup, and told me the second one he made was gonna be better. Mind you, we were the ones distracting him by asking him all sorts of questions about the coffee beans he had on hand at the moment 🥹 But he insisted, and thus I got to enjoy a second flatwhite. I could see where he was coming from, but the first coffee was a delight nonetheless!
We finished our visit with a filter coffee made on Costa Rican beans by Swerl, which were really good, and made sure to get some filters for our v60 on our way out the door, and all and all, a lovely morning was spent...
Read moreMy partner and I had been travelling italy for 3 weeks and had been craving an oat flat white, as we enjoy them at home (Australia), and coming across Artifact felt like a goldmine. We are vegan and Artifact was perfect for a DELICIOUS oat flat white and even a side treat of a vegan tofu and pepper spread on seeded bread for brekky. Riccardo was a delight to chat to and had some great travel recommendations. The atmosphere he has created is cosy and charming, with such warm welcoming energy and an easy going vibe. We will be going back as his coffee and chats were definitely a highlight for us. It was also lovely to hear his story of how he got started in the industry and how Artifact came to be, it's very impressive that it is only just coming up to the 1 year anniversary of its opening and he has managed to have established such a successful and lovely place. By visiting you can see how hard he has worked and how passionate he is about his coffee. Thank...
Read moreBest specialty coffee in Turin🫀🫀🫀🫀 Super nice talented person🩰
I needed to edit this review, this place is just keeps growing on me. artifacf offers obviously fantastic specialty coffee selection, great prices, aesthetics, BUT honestly hat sets it apart is the atmosphere, shaped by the person behind the counter; Their warmth and friendliness, desire to share the knowledge, explaining the processes in specialty coffee productions, or emerging coffee trends, make a big the difference, turning a good coffee stop into a great experience; entertaining, super educational (so much experience in specialty coffee world) Too often, specialty coffee places in Europe can feel a bit rigid, where asking questions feels awkward or unwelcome. Here, it’s TOTALLY opposite—you can engage, learn, and simply enjoy your time without any sense of pressure. It’s a rare and...
