Nearly all their pizzas are made with soybean oil and not olive oil. When I asked about it I was told that soybean oil was better because of the higher smoke point. Hmm, in my experience all really good pizzas are made with EVOO and the smoking point is not an issue - but of course EVOO is a lot more expensive! We ordered a glass of prosecco to have before dinner and the pizza arrived within three minutes of the prosecco, this was much too rushed and in a hurry. But ultimately it didn't matter as we ate outside and within the time from ordering to having our first bite of pizza we had both been bitten over ten times by mosquitoes and it was impossible to enjoy anything. It was really awful. We ended up taking the pizza home and putting it in the oven. Of course, it was a mess especially as the boxes are too small for the pizzas. It was clear that the staff knew about the mosquito issue. I think we should have been advised of that before choosing to sit outside. The pizza was okay, but nothing special. Also we did not like the overpowering taste of the salami in the Calzone which bore no resemblance to other really good Calzone we had had on this trip. 55 minutes for a pizza like this? (And 19,50€ with a coke) Unacceptable. The customer is not informed of such a wait and is only updated after showing impatience and frustration.

A poor first experience. Even if the pizza were good, it couldn’t taste right after such frustration. Nothing is enjoyable under these conditions, especially since the pizza was partially burnt.

This occurred during dinner service on August 8, 2024. Customers next to me ordered just 2 minutes before I did and had already finished eating, were chatting, and asking for the bill while I still hadn’t been served.

Taking advantage of your reputation to lose all consideration for your customers, is that your motto? If you cannot handle a large number of orders, then allow yourself to refuse some. Quality...

Oggi intorno alle 13:10 arrivo da Michele nella speranza di poter finalmente mangiare la sua pizza anche nella mia città. Premetto che nel 2009 ebbi il piacere di poterla mangiare nella sua sede storica a Napoli e da allora è e rimane la miglior pizza che io abbia mai mangiato! Oggi arrivando all’ingresso mi metto in coda e quasi sorrido nel vedere davanti a me solo una decina di persone, io che per gustarla nella sua sede storica avevo affrontato una coda di oltre 100 persone e un paio d’ore di attesa. Chiaramente per ingannare l’attesa e comunque nel pieno della mia giornata lavorativa, mi immergo nella lettura delle mie email e rapidamente passano circa 20 minuti, se non che mi cade l’occhio su un tavolino che sgombero da alcuni minuti non veniva occupato da chi mi era davanti in coda. Inizio allora a domandare ai clienti in cima alla coda e mi viene detto che l’addetto aveva risposto loro che l’attesa era sui 20 minuti! Sposto lo sguardo all’interno e i tavoli vuoti (come ben documentato in foto) erano ultra capienti a far posto a tutte le persone in coda ed anche più…. Chiaramente a quel punto capisco che a noi potenziali clienti in attesa era stato delegato un ruolo chiaro e personalmente non richiesto. Chiedo spiegazioni alla persona preposta al ricevimento della clientela e mi viene detto che oggi purtroppo vi erano seri problemi in cucina per gestire i quali la direzione aveva deciso di far attendere i potenziali clienti una mezz’ora in piedi piuttosto che accomodarsi e perpetrare al più la medesima attesa ma aime’ seduti…. Non c’è che dire: bella soluzione al problema! Complimenti vivissimi! Probabilmente sono solo io a pensare che gestire tale problematica in questo modo sia per lo meno poco rispettoso nei confronti dei clienti. Per dovere di cronaca mi è stato detto che domani tale problematica sarà risolta e pertanto una eventuale coda sarà solo e soltanto da attribuirsi all’effettivo riempimento di tutti i posti a sedere.
