Waste of time. Table of two. We sat down and were asked what water we would like. In which I order frizzante. It never came. Then we waited 20min for someone to take our order. We got the attention of the older man to say we are ready to order. He said ok. And walked away. Then waiting another 10min. Finally a nice lady took our order. Very simple order. 2 x steaks (rare). We watched them come out and put down at the wrong table. They had already touched the meal before they realised it wasn’t theirs. Then the waiter picked it up off their table and tried to give it to us. We said no we will wait for fresh meals. It was clearly the same steaks they just reheated 5min later. As now it was very well done. We had to send them back. The chef clearly got annoyed at the situation. And when my rare “new” steak came it. It was Blue. So rare it was cold inside. Safe to say. Shocking customer service. Shocking attention to detail. Definitely not worth spending your hard...
Read moreWe showed up about 1.5 hours before closing. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us pick a really good bottle of wine. They have a very cool wine cellar.
We ordered the truffle pasta and the pork dish, in addition to the wine.
The truffle pasta was incredible. Very flavorful, the sauce was creamy with a lot of truffles, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. One of the best pastas we’ve had so far.
The pork dish was unfortunately not anywhere up to par. It was wrapped in a pastry crust and covered in a cranberry type sauce. While the flavors were great, it was clearly cooked hours earlier and left under a heater. The pork was extremely dried out. It came with a side of potatoes that were wrapped in foil, also reheated and dry. It was no where near the quality of the pasta dish.
Overall the wine and pasta was amazing, we just wish we were told that they were out of the pork so we could have ordered two pasta dishes instead of the last reheated...
Read moreWe found the place while strolling through the city. The place has a really nice interior, as a wine cave. The food is really nice, the pici with ragu is phenomenal. The wine pairing was really good, however they just wouldn't let us order two glasses, only half a bottle as they said it would be equivalent (it really isn't). The cheese platter was quite alright, however the pieces of cheese were way too big, and it wasn't the best pecorino we ever tasted. The service was just fine, however not really remarkable.
The most annoying thing about the place is how quickly everyone left, and they started cleaning everything. At around 10:30 we felt quite uncomfortable, as we thought they wanted us gone.
This is a good place to get a nice dinner, with a good pairing, but only order the cheese if you have plenty of room left and don't expect to be able to hang a round...
