Ai Do Scaini — Restaurant in Venice

Five of us ate there four times for lunch and dinner. Had warm and crunchy sandwiches for lunch on excellent warm bread. The best sandwich had ham mushrooms cheese and tomato sauce. Salad was good. Eggplant Parmesan was excellent and spaghetti carbonara was good. I also ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and grilled veggies that was excellent. If you like spicy food ask for olive oil with spicy pepper. It was amazing to dip their hot crunchy bread in it. Ooo la la! Get dessert elsewhere. Prices are better than anywhere else. Lovely outside seating and locals eat here. Family owned. Gianmarco their son was our first waiter, very friendly, good service and not rushing us to leave. The Pizza was okay for the price, as well as the "Sex on the Beach"-Cocktail. But do not order the first dishes! For example my lasagne was not even close to the height and amount like shown in the picture on the menu-card! But it costs 8,50€, which is way too much!! This restaurant plays tricks on you regarding some of the meals! I asked waiter about egg yolks in tiramisu cream, he told me he would ask the chef. when he came back he said that probably there were no egg yolks in the cream but he wasn't sure. Tiramisu cream to me was just whipped cream. He also forgot about the wine that I ordered before that i had to remind him of.
