DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! I promise you, you will regret eating here. I have never in my life had a worse meal or service. We stopped here because we were starving and we stumbled upon it. For starters, the owner or manager was SLEEPING in the table next to us. I wish I had a photo. He sat at the table next to us with his head folded in his arms on the table sleeping and had an alarm set to wake him up.
The food came and it was honestly terrible. The spaghetti and meatballs pictured smelled like baby puke. Yes. Baby puke. It has to be rotten. The carbonara wasn’t even edible. Imagine spaghetti noodles, some melted butter and chunks of cold cut hand thrown in it. I refused to eat it. The pizza was like a frozen pizza. In Italy!?!? The bread was rock hard and stale. Imagine bread sitting out for 3 days. That’s what it tasted like. I’ve waited 38 years of my life for real Italian cuisine and this is what I got….
So I decided to tell the waiter that we didn’t like the spaghetti and meatballs and carbonara and he basically refused to believe us. We were very polite and he got very angry. He started yelling at us that we didn’t tell him quick enough. I explained that he never even came to check on us once and was outside the whole time. My kids started giggling and HE YELLED AT THEM!!!!!! Honestly, after only sending back only 2 of 5 dishes, they’ll lucky we even ate any of it!!!! I have the video of him yelling at my kids as well. It ended up turning into quite an argument since the man decided to yell at my kids.
We got our bill and we were charged $25 in service charges!!!!! Half our bill was service charges and drinks. Absolutely absurd. And so disappointing since we only had one night in Venice and that was our meal. Service is slow, food is horrible, customer service is horrendous. Do yourself a favor and AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I am about 99.9% sure that any of the good reviews on this restaurant are from a...
Read moreWe were on a trip to Venice, and everything was great except for this restaurant. Specifically, when we asked on the street if the restaurant had air conditioning because we wanted to sit inside, the waiter said the air conditioning wasn’t working and suggested that it would be fine to sit outside. However, after we decided to sit outside, we went inside to wash our hands before eating and were surprised to see that the restaurant was perfectly cool, with the air conditioning on. When we received the bill after our meal, we noticed that some items were charged at absurd prices (a high "coperto" fee, "servizi"), and the waiters made no effort to justify these charges, nor were they mentioned at the beginning or on the menu. Usually, restaurants in Venice are transparent about their prices, and the quality of the food reflects what is indicated on the menu. However, my experience at this specific restaurant was unfortunately different. While the city is known for offering good cuisine at reasonable prices, here I felt that the costs were unfairly inflated. The final bill did not match what was listed on the menu, leaving me with the impression of being cheated. It’s a shame because the rest of my stay in Venice was excellent, with honest and pleasant dining experiences elsewhere. I CANNOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone looking for a transparent and...

As in food, firstly, the lasagna did NOT have meat filling between each layer, only on top. I am no italian food expert but i am sure thats not how lasagne is made. Secondly, the pasta a la marinera we asked was made with tomate sauce 💀. The sauce in the pasta a la marinera we have tasted in other reastaurants was made with the seafood, similar to paella o fideua. Third, the steak with fries we asked was around 15€ 💀💀💀 ( I dont remember the price exactly but it was REALLY high compred to the value). I know it is in Venice and all that, but i dong think thats even close to be worth 15€. Lastly, the bread they gave us before the mesl was kind of stale but at least they gave us bread.
The restaurant itself has okay ambiance outisde. Inside it looks like one of those shabby hot spanish bars though, maybe becaue it was summer too. The bathrooms were fine.
What surprised me even more was that we had to pay witj cash. Pretty suspicious i think but who am I to guess. On, and also they added a 12% (maybe) auto tip and had 2.5€ per perdon for serving u. The auto tip is pretty common Ive seen, but never seen someone make me pay 20% of my bill for such an awful experience and such a mid location.
Went to celebrate my birthday left feeling scammed. Honestky,...
