Marciano Pub Venezia — Restaurant in Venice

We went to this restaurant few days ago randomly and i asked the waitress if there was some free places to be beside the water/river as i thought there was a large terrace but it turns out there was "only" a little balcony.

She came back and still told us that it was possible to sit there since nobody had booked that place before 9p.m and we got so lucky because we had an awesome view on the sunset and that was like an unexpected experience and we felt like we were a bit privileged due to that.

I want to thank the waitress especially for her superb professionnalism and great humour too, always had a smile and was dedicated fully to her job for anything, the whole service she did was very nice from the beginning until the end so thanks again for that.

As for the food, it was on point in terms of quantity and quality so that was definitely perfect.

One of the man that looked like he was maybe the man in charge of the restaurant when we had to pay for the bill was also so nice and warm whenever we asked few questions because we're tourists.

I wish you guys the best and it will be a pleasure to come back here if i have another chance to be in Venise again...

Arrived in Venice jet-lagged and after a post bacaro nap wandered through the canals trying to find a late night spot. We wandered into here and it was alive and busy. We did our best to speak what Italian we have learned and are learning and the staff were so gracious meeting us halfway with English and Italian. The waitress was exceptional; gave recommendations and even steered us away from smaller portions once I exclaimed “ho fame!” The food was excellent (my octopus burger was incredible and cooked perfectly); the drink selection has something for everyone and I found a new favourite wine (soave from Verona). The people here are WONDERFUL! I’m planning on coming back for late night drinks all week....

Hamburgers are sickening. The beer selection is limited, and they even cannot serve all the beers on tap that they have on the menu, as they usually run out some of those; it isn't the first time that we were there at 9:00 pm and that happened... so, I would say, that's not good for a pub, as it's not really close to its closing time... This last time I had to be diverted to the local IPA (an average one) as they ran out a 'simple' Lagunitas IPA. Other than that, the service is ok, but the location is nice. Because of the first two points, not really a good choice... as a 'pub' to be regarded as an 'alternative' to the classical osteria in the historic centre of Venice. In a word:...
