Taverna Dei Dogi — Restaurant in Venice

First, I would like to say never to go here! The waiter who served us was pretty nice, even though the restaurant manager persistently asked us to order other desert or coffee. The taste of the food was fair. The problem is, however, that this restaurant imposes tourists another service charge called "Maggiorazioni". As soon as I got the bill, I asked the manager to explain, but he couldn't explain this charge at all. As soon as I left the restaurant, I showed the receipt to the hotel staff that I stayed at and listened to the explanation. The hotel staff first apologized to me on behalf of the restaurant and said that there are bad restaurants sometimes double-charging for service fee for the tourists. I had lunch on 4 Oct 2024. Service was generally fast. Waiters were generally efficient except for one rude male waiter that looks like a young William Baldwin. He spoilt my experience. The food was edible. The pork chop was grilled and dry. There was no sauce. I think they forgot the sauce. The spaghetti sauce was thin.
