DO NOT GO HERE!! I went to this restaurant with my sister. When we got in we were the only guests there and this didn't change during the rest of the evening. She ordered fried seafood and I had the vegetarian lasagna. The lasagna tasted like a microwaved meal and got served way too fast for a "fresh" lasagna. My sister only got the fried squid without any side dishes like rice included. The wine was too expensive too. For a restaurant that has waiters walking around in suits and that looks fancy from the inside the food is very bad. Unless you want microwaved food I'd recommend going somewhere else.

Really lovely experience. Really friendly and professional staff who were very attentive. Small amount of tables outside on the square, which was perfect for atmosphere and volume. The food was delicious and very good quality, clearly handmade pasta, beautifully cooked tomato sauces, freshly caught lobster cooked to perfection and a superb panna cotta. Not a bad price compared to other restaurants we saw on the square and in busier areas of Venice. Would definitely recommend.

Good food in a beautiful square, which is saying a lot compared to many tourist restaurants in Venice. Most important, they offer gluten-free and vegetarian options, including two types of gluten-free pasta: spaghetti and fusilli. I had a nice pasta plate with ricotta, parmesan, and spinach, and my wife had pasta al norma. Yes, the wait staff can be a little pushy if you don't order enough, but it was not much of an issue for us. Speak Italian and they will treat you kindly.

Awful experience. Resume: overpriced, tasteless food and bad service (which will cost you +12% of the bill). Ordered vegetarian lasagna, which was obviously frozen and had no flavour at all and scallopinni al blanc vine, which was not as bad but way bellow average. Altough, the food would not be the worst of the night! The waiter just removed the plate with almost the entire lasagna on it and didn't even asked how it was. When asked if we wanted coffee, I questioned if it would be better than the lasagna, to which the same waiter just smiled and shrugged. The bill came and while paying reinforced that the lasagna was awful to a different waiter. Got as reply a "oh, was good?" - didn't understood english. The person in charge of the room came by and asked me to explain, said that there was a problem with the vegetarian lasagna on that day - the funny fact is that we were one of the last people to arrive in the restaurant and that I was now speaking with the exact same person that got our order; also, if there was a problem with that dish for the night, why would one of the waiters assume I was saying it was good? Basically, the objective is to get your money without even a tiny bit of will to provide you a good experience. I would tolerate bad food, but not shady explanations for it. After explaining that the worst part was the lack of interest in understanding if there was any problem with the food, I was offered a limoncello, which I refused - wasn't...

I just left this place, and to say it was a place to stay away from is an understatement. I would avoid this place and find somewhere else. I will provide some items as to why this place should be avoided.

Food: I had the Lasagna Bolognese, which was mediocre. I feel I could cook the same dish myself, and I am not a cook. The food was basically the same as at Olive Garden, which is horrible. For those unaware

Service: I had the worst service here that I have had so far in Italy. It took forever for our server to come by the one and only time. All the tables with men who spoke Italian got way better service than the one male and two female Americans speaking English. Then, to top it off, they charged me a 12% service fee. That is absolutely fraud for the piss poor service. People talk about service charges and tipping in America. If I had this experience back home, there would be no tip like the shakedown here.

I spent less at other places for food that was WAY. Learn from my mistake, and your wallet...

Need to set the record straight on this restaurant, based on some of the other reviews.

We had a fantastic meal here. Different from your run of the mill Venice restaurant, which all seem to have the same menus, and priced about the same.

Our pasta was delicious, and the deserts were amazing.

To confirm some parts of other reviews, the waiters were a little over attentive, but their recommendations on wine in particular were spot on, and well priced.

They do recommend the fish dishes, but this is their speciality. We saw some go out, and they looked fantastic- I would suggest you go with one if you have the cash to splash. Certainly the punters that did have them seemed to enjoy them.

As for pricing on weight for steak and fish and some of the comments relating to that- no, you don't buy steak for £5 -especially in Venice, yes it's common to sell by weight (done in Europe, Asia etc), if you don't know, ask your attentive waiter- they were very helpful.

Highly recommended this place, one of the better meals we...
