We spent our first evening in Verona in this restaurant, having all around the north part of the old city we came across this and thought the menu looked good. The staff were very friendly but seemed to be quite busy, and we had to flag them down to order more wine.

We would describe this more as a wine bar that serves food. They have a good selection of wine as well as a fantastically priced house wine which was delicious. I was very grateful that it (red) was served cold.

We really enjoyed the three different cheeses aged at different periods., The contrast and tastes were delicious. In addition, we had the cold meats which complimented the cheese.

I had the lasagne, which could have had a little bit more meat inside. The lasagne sheets were light and dedicate.

Well priced, and a pleasant environment to...

This is a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine and some simple, well made food.

We visited in summer, so the outside tables beneath the colonnade were perfect. The service was friendly and we happily waited at the bar before our table was ready. We ordered the beef tartare, eggplant parmigiana and burrata salad, which was all delicious. There were a number of options for wines by the glass which we found was not typical in Verona. The atmosphere was very relaxed and lively and the customers seemed predominantly local which was nice as the central areas of the old town can be a bit touristy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal then walked a few steps to the river where you are greeted by a spectacular sunset view of...

I had a terrible experience with a waiter working in this restaurant. Today, while walking in the city, I kindly asked a waitress if I could use the toilet. She responded with a positive response by saying the toilet is currently occupied and asked me to wait for a couple of minutes. Then, a waiter approached me with an angry manner. With extreme hand gestures, he asked me to use the toilet of another restaurant. I said , " Why are you not simply saying it is only for customer use?" and walked away. He was shouting and swearing behind me. This is very sad. I completely understood if they would say "no" when I asked. Nobody deserves this kind of rude and...

The food was very good here and we ate here twice. Relaxed, casual, atmospheric, with great service and a friendly staff. The place was full when we arrived for dinner, but we got a table. We sat under the portico outside in the candlelight. You order from a hand-written menu (always a good sign). My wife ordered an orzo salad. I ordered lasagna, which I have never ordered in all of our trips to Italy. Both of our meals were excellent. We drank a litre of bianco and took our time. The prices here are very reasonable. We came back the next day for lunch.

I am very surprised to read so many negative comments for the super friendly and nice people who work here. A casual eatery with local delicacies like horse tagliata (didn’t dare). I loved the set up and the location, just a few steps from the tourist occupied city centre, and I wish I could praise the home made food and give it all the stars in the world but, in all honesty, it was just ok. Which is fine. Also WHY does an Italian restaurant only serve German beer??? Can give a big applause to the airy tiramisu, though, one of the best I’ve ever had!
