My heart aches for this ramen. During an extended stay in Fukuoka in 2014-2015, I had the good fortune to have a job near this shop and ate there at nearly every opportunity. Japanese co-workers recommended the shop when I said that I would like to try local ramen shops. This restaurant serves fantastic miso or shoyu ramen, with very tender lean pork slices. Their menu is translated into several foreign languages, including English, so it isn't complicated placing your order. If you are by yourself, you may be seated at the bar and have a great view of the show in their open kitchen. There are a handful of simple sides and you can order a beer, but mostly they serve really piping hot ramen, fast. Dosanko does NOT serve Hakata ramen, which is the local specialty and is served in the vast majority of ramen restaurants in and around Fukuoka.
