This place is conveniently located which makes it a really popular spot. If you are in a group, I'll highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The food, however, is absolutely fantastic!! Reasonably priced and extremely tasty! No wonder it's so popular with the locals. It was so good that I went back for a second night in a row and the workers there were so happy to see me. Japanese customer service is already good but the workers here are so warm and welcoming even though they had to handle a full house! Taking customer service to the next level! If I'm visiting Kyoto again, I'm definitely coming back!...

The food here is amazing! We tried many different dishes and everything was done to such a high level and the taste is out of this world. This place is full of locals and the value for money is insane.

While there is no English translation on the menu and the staff can't speak English, they're very welcoming and try their best to help regardless of the language barrier. Since we couldn't really read the menu (it has lots of pictures though) and was new to Japanese cuisine, we just asked 2 different waiters what they liked and recommended and that's how we ordered for the night. This Izakaya is a lot of fun!! Located about 3 minutes from Kyoto Station. It has a great atmosphere and vibe to it. Very nice decor. Lots of seating - tables and private booths are available. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The food is great - not expensive and quite tasty. Ordered an array of dishes and all of them were delicious. Smoking is allowed inside and there is also a smoke section outside of the restaurant. Lots of fun here - definitely a good choice for some good times. Will definitely be back here again...
