How should I start my dinner story? We were a family of three and I found this noodle restaurant while I was in the queue of a hamburg restaurant. My mom was so hungry that she started complaining and winging. So we had to eat straight away and decided to share only two mains for the three of us and also then try ROKU.
Honestly, mom was 100% full and my sister and I had a small space left in our stomachs after hamburg steaks. But my sister and I did not give up trying ROKU.
Ramen was full of complex flavours but surprisingly clean taste and not too oily. A special truffle ramen somehow tasted a high quality balanced flavour. The depth of broth was unbelievable and the texture of noodle was great. There was no single one to pick up. Additionally, it's atmosphere was astonishing. The main tree decoration at the centre of U-shape customer tables and their table settings somehow created the sense of heavy and formal fine restaurant, which I loved. Finally, price for the food was just another thumbs up. You cannot get this quality of ramen for this price, trust me. You never get it.
I am very happy to give another visit in the unforeseeable future.
Anyway, my sister and I pleasantly vacuumed ramen. However, my mom didn't want to eat more but had to try a ramen as there was one ramen per customer policy. Unfortunately as expected my mom left her ramen...
Read moreI visited this ramen place shortly after their opening (I was there at 11:30) and half of the seats were still available. The menu selection on the vending machine has English options, and the choice is quite limited, so I went with their signature ramen.
The soup I chose was a clear amber-colored broth that is slowly cooked over heat for approximately 10 hours. The broth is made using duck, venison, local chicken, pork, porcini mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, tomatoes, and longan pulp, making this soup a unique creation by Hitomi, a Michelin-awarded chef.
The noodles, although thin, have a firm texture and a noticeable presence. Chef Hitomi has crafted these homemade noodles, paying special attention to their aroma, texture, and overall quality.
My order cost 1200 yen, which I found to be reasonable for the quality and uniqueness of the dish.
It's important to note that the restaurant operates from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, then closes and reopens at 6:00 pm, staying open until 9:00 pm. I personally really enjoyed the broth, and it's worth mentioning that the portion of meat is not too large, which makes the overall dish not too heavy.
If you're looking for a special ramen experience crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, this place is definitely worth checking out. Just be sure to keep their opening hours in mind when planning your...
Read moreI don’t usually give such high praise to restaurants, however, this was easily the best ramen I’ve ever had. Each item we had was exceptional. From the small selection of Sake that each pair perfectly with the ramen, I chose the truffle ramen, to the soft and rich wontons that we were instructed to put in the broth of the ramen (absolutely delicious) , to the exquisite freshly fried egg custard sesame ball…. I can’t stop thinking about this food and experience , and I can’t wait to go back. My partner and I loved it so much that we’re considering coming here for our anniversary over another high end restaurant. For the price of our meals, there’s nothing that can beat this value for the exceptional quality and flavor of this meal.
Upon entering, I could tell that every detail was carefully considered. The decor was beautiful , delicate, yet raw and minimal, the service was welcoming and attentive, the small peek into the kitchen was beautiful , and the light music playing was a beautiful playlist of light easy to listen to jazz. It was a high end carefully crafted experience at such an affordable and approachable price point.
I can’t recommend it...
