SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!
We ordered the neopolitan pasta, some hotcakes, a chicken sandwich and some coffee’s. We were never welcomed in, just waited a while till a server asked how many of us there are. We noticed that there were many empty tables but most of them were not cleaned off from previous customers. We waited at least 20 minutes before WE had to call for a server to take our order. We were told the food would take about 15-20 to be served to us, the pasta came out first in about 20 minutes with the hotcakes coming about 10 minutes after. The sandwich took was the last to come- maybe 15 minutes after the hotcakes (you would think a sandwich would be the easiest to make). The servers also had to come back multiple times to make sure our order was correct, we make it pretty simple when ordering by just pointing and saying how many we want, so i dont understand why it was such a struggle.
The pasta was good, not very memorable. The hotcakes were also average we found a HAIR in one of them. The sandwich was also fine. The proportions or ratios of food such as the strawberries were small. The coffee is average at best.
It is very difficult to get a servers attention. We were definitely served the sandwich AFTER many people who came in after us. Lots of the tables were still not cleaned even after we were done eating, they just let it sit there til they need a table.
Please trust me when i say i understand when a food place is understaffed. There was at least 3 servers on the floor which is plenty for the size of the place. Yet they were slow with busting, serving, and even knowing how to properly take orders. It is not worth it...
Read moreI came in with one other person, a little after 10am on a Sunday. Fewer than half of the tables were occupied, and most of the unoccupied tables were clean (a few still had dishes on them). There were two free waitresses, but for some reason we were told to wait by the door, as were the four or five people who came in behind us. For about 10 minutes, we watched as they cleaned off the few dirty tables. Weird, but I guess they had a good reason for it.
When we were finally seated, our waitress handed us an English menu and disappeared. We decided on our order pretty quickly. The waitress had put an order slip on our table, but there was no pencil anywhere on our table (and the slip was in Japanese) so we assumed we should wait for her to take our order. After another 10 minutes we still didn't see her, despite the restaurant still being mostly empty, and we decided to just walk out. Too bad because I was really looking forward to trying their...
Read moreThis place definitely tries to cater for foreigners. I ordered the hotcakes set which included a boiled egg and choice of hot or iced coffee. I waited over 30 minutes for the food after being told it would be 10 minutes for the hotcakes to cook, the restaurant was not that busy there were multiple open tables so it should not have taken that long. The hotcakes were not good the edges were hard and I could tell they had been sitting for a while. Pretty close to subpar american style pancakes but worse than you would find at iHop. The egg was boiled too long and the yolk was chalky and not appealing looking. The coffee was a highlight, it was very strong and made using an interesting technique of upwards siphoning the water into a container full of grounds. I would not recommend this place to any foreign tourists, the cost of 1020 yen is not worth the quality. There are better...
