My sister and I found this place right outside the station. I'm vegan and we saw the word vegan so we had to stop in, and we were starving. At first I was shocked to see eggs on toast. I asked what was vegan and they said everything! The eggs were made with tofu and pumpkin, it looked so legitimate. And it tasted eggy too. I actually never liked eggs pre-veganism but I loved that this has tofu in it so I could have my protein!! It was served on top of a big fluffy piece of toast so it was also very filling! I was satisfied.
We also got the banana bread and the earl grey blueberry muffin. You guys....that earl grey blueberry muffin is 100% the most moist and tasty muffin I've ever had. The Earl grey flavor is subtle but it's perfect. And love blueberries.
They even split the bread and muffin for us since my sister and I shared ❤️🙏 thank you for your thoughtfulness!
My sister also got a matcha latte and she said it was the best matcha latte she's ever had. And she gets them nearly every day from multiple different places so that's saying something.
Cute space inside and a few people working on laptops. The restroom is not in the facility but in the building attached. If we're ever back in Kyoto we will...
Read moreIn Kyoto, I recently enjoyed an El Salvador 🇸🇻 medium roast drip coffee made with beans from Finca La Laguna. The roast leaned toward the lighter side for my preference, yet it revealed remarkable depth and elegance in every sip. From the moment it was poured, the air filled with bright fruity aromas layered with the richness of cacao. The experience instantly brought back memories of my visit to El Salvador a few years ago, where I had tasted a similar bean from the same region—brewed then by a champion barista—an unforgettable cup that left a lasting impression.
This time in Kyoto, the coffee was prepared by a Japanese lady barista, whose gentle precision and attentive brewing style brought out the bean’s delicate complexity. While the approach was different from the bold flair of the champion in El Salvador, her method emphasized a clean, nuanced profile that allowed the fruit and cacao notes to shine. The result was a cup that blended the soul of El Salvador’s coffee heritage with the refined touch of Kyoto’s...
Read moreI love everything about this coffee shop. They specialize in Salvadoran coffee, including the Pacamara variety. My flat white was delicious albeit on the lighter side (to be expected in Japan), and the drip coffee was very bright, fruity, and refreshing. But my favorite drink here was the iced strawberry matcha latte. It’s a classic combination that I’ve had several times over the years, but theirs was practically perfect. Lightly sweetened, the strawberry and matcha balanced in fruity, grassy harmony👌🏼Service was top-notch. The interiors: naturally lit, natural elements, and perfect atmosphere for work/study. Would love to frequent this place next time...
