Doutor — Restaurant in Kyoto

Sometimes, the best kind of break is the one you take with you.

I grabbed a Lettuce Dog and a German Dog to go from Doutor Kyoto Shijo-Ōhashi — wrapped warm and handed with care. I wandered down toward the river, found a bench under soft light, and unwrapped something far more comforting than expected.

The Lettuce Dog was bright and fresh — crunchy lettuce with a creamy touch over a warm, juicy sausage. The German Dog was bold and smoky, with a satisfying snap in every bite and just enough mustard to make it sing.

I grabbed food at the restaurant next to Dotor and I met my girlfriend back at Doutor where she purchased her food. She ordered a yummy drink and sandwich. I started to eat my food from the nearby restaurant while sitting with my girlfriend and an attendant came up and told me to leave because I wasn't eating their food. I explained that I was with my girlfriend and the lady dismissed and again told us no. The experience left a bad taste in our mouths and my girlfriend could no longer enjoy her food. Doutor is a well priced coffee (best value for the money). They serve american style and espresso, sandwiches and good enough cakes, yogurt smoothies and juices for a very decent price when compared with other coffees in Kyoto.
