GRZE Kyoto — Restaurant in Kyoto

A bit expensive but IMHO, worth it. I needed a little break from japanese food and bakeries and GRZE was a great finding. The coffee is good, the food is tasty, the staff is truly warm and the quality is consistent (I’ve come twice, and loved it the two times).

I have tried arepas reina pepiada (with chicken and avocado filling), arepas with shredded meat filling, and granola with yogurt. We recommend both.

As a note, arepas are a very weird finding in Kyoto (and Japan overall) and as a Venezuelan, I can say these...

Sat down around 11am to get breakfast. Waitress took our drink order around 11:10am and we received our drinks at 11:25. Waitress then told us that their kitchen is closing and they would not be able to take our breakfast order. This place deserves a 5/5! We came here for breakfast, and ordered the avocado tomato toast - I was amazed by how good the toast tasted!!! We also ordered fried eggs on the side which were cooked with perfection. Freshly cooked, with high quality ingredients, and very warm service.
