Kafu — Restaurant in Kyoto

We came for dinner two weeks ago. We had the Chiraga, Buta-Menma, Aji-fry, Negi Charhan, Butamiso, and Clam, seaweed and pork belly noodle soup, with Okinawan Lemon drink.

The door said they serve Okinawan cuisine. However, I have never been to Okinawa so I cannot say of the authenticity of the food, but the cooks authentically showed skill. The dishes we had were delicious and refreshing to say the least. If you enjoy Taiwanese, South Chinese and Chinese-Korean flavour profiles this place will not disappoint. The portions were adequately priced and the experience was homey. I guess we lucked out because we did not have to wait but a line up soon...

We came here in the evening after spotting the poster they have outside saying "no okinawa no life". My partner and his family are okinawan, so this place was somewhere we had to try. We ordered a few dishes from the menu, and we were not disappointed. The food here is really tasty, with generous portion sizes for a really good price! The staff here are really friendly and hard working, and the interior is really nice. Every customer seemed to be having fun. It was really nice to drink Orion beer again.
