Nony's Bar — Restaurant in Kyoto

As far as I know, this is the best bar in the world. Master's' are(they are married couple) very friendly and passionate. Their english is not very fluent but they tries their best to communicate with foreign customers, as well as regular customers. Cocktails are really delicious and master's skill and ideas are amazing. You must try all the signature cocktails here. The price range is about 1000-1200¥(about 10$) per each cocktail, which is reasonable. Also, cover charge is free for tourists. If I could give 10 stars I would! Not only were the drinks unique and delicious but the bar tender was incredible. His wife and daughter were there as well and were super friendly. He was funny, spoke enough English to understand each other, and was basically a mad scientist. You tell him the drink and base flavor you want and he creates the rest...including using liquid nitrogen in some of his drinks which resulted in basically a spiked dessert rather than a drink. My partner and I had three excellent cocktails at very reasonable prices. We tried the basil rum, ginger syrup vodka and a cucumber and olive gin and tonic which were each delicious (my favourite was the ginger syrup). The bartender was also great - he was accommodating to the lack of English we spoke (he speaks great English) and was very interested in our travels so far. This is one of the best bars I have ever been to and I look forward to being back in Kyoto again for another...
