Incredible ramen. Went here every other day during our time in Kyoto!
My girlfriend left her bag here by accident. She was so sad since she had just bought the bag. She had no idea where she had left it. She can be a little spacey at times. When we returned a couple days later. The owner recognized us and returned the bag. He didn’t speak English so we communicated through a translation app.

Read moreI really enjoyed my entire experience here. The master has menus in English, Chinese, and Korean outside the shop so you can decide what you want before entering. Once inside, the atmosphere is very calm and the decor is tasteful and simple. This felt very rare for a ramen shop. Usually, it’s loud, chaotic, and rambunctious (which I love). But this shop and the master had a very relaxing zen vibe. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think he’s the type of person who wants to concentrate on the food he’s making, so he tries to make the order process simple and straightforward. The service was quick, despite it being busy. The miso ramen with extra green onions was delicious....
Read moreAbsolutely LOVE ramen-dokoro! We came here 3 times in our short stay and it was even better each time. Ramen options are delicious, with different kinds like tonkatsu, miso, and fish broths. I was also able to try the dipping ramen, a staple dish of Kyoto that you need to try before leaving! The gyoza was delicious as well. Absolutely recommend! (Nothing bad about this place! Seriously!)
Notes: Vending machine is a little hard to use for English speakers but don't hesitate to ask the chef where anything is at The wait gets long pretty fast! Arrive sooner than you think if you want to catch...
